One listen and this will become one of your favorite albums. I listen to it almost every day. Be forewarned: these catchy melodies and rhythms will be hard to get out of your head! Good variety of Mexican music from polkas to beautiful love songs (no Mariachi), all featuring Corrales's amazing guitarwork. Very interesting to hear the German influence on border music, especially the role of the accordion and the waltz, or "oom pah pah" beat that underscores many of these tunes. A true delight! Want more? Look for "Seville to Santa Fe", an Spanish guitar anthology featuring Frank Corrales.

Energetic, infectious melodies, definately dancable, it is clear they've honed their chops on the bar circuit. The recording has a live feel to it making it easy to duplicate in concert. Vocally they are strongest when utilizing harmonies such as in the tracks "No Suspires", "Acercate" and "No Te Olvidare". All songs are sung in Spanish. Instrumentally they are a lively quartet occasionaly employing horns to accent songs. This could have been used a bit more thoughout the CD, in my opinion. Overall this is a solid CD great for driving, working out or anything lively and active. I look forward to a follow-up to this disc.

I'm not sure why I decided to buy a mariachi CD, I just started thinking about it. I researched who was the best, and these guys kept coming up. I actually saw these guys at EPCOT a few years back. They were great! The album is so cool. I can't understand a single word, but I still love it! This is some of the best I've ever heard. XXV Anniversario is really good as well. Buy it! It'll put a smile on your face!

Steve Jordan has an astounding sense of time, a very sophistocated sense of harmony and complete command over his music. I saw him play in North Carolina once. I had never even heard of him and my knowledge of Tex-Mex was nil. He and his band absolutely bowled me over. The man is a giant. This album can't duplicate the live experience, but then I can't play it that loud at home.

I guarantee that you have nothing like this in your collection.

It took a little too long for people to realize how much talent these guys had and how much their songs were worth. It took too long for many "fresas" to say "Osea, estos chavos no son nada nacos." The truth is, Intocable va pa' largo! This CD is good. I was skeptical about DJ Kane, Natalia LaFourcade, and the rest of the people performing some of Intocable's best rolas, but it turned out to be great. Both CD's are amazing.

Alexandro is awesome! Even though this is an old CD, his voice is still velvety and sexy. But my only complaint is the picture of him on the cover. It isn't that appealing and if I would base my album choice strictly on one's cover, this one wouldn't be it. He's got a beautiful voice as well as a gorgeous face and he really CAN sing! I recommend this album.
