I own every one of the Dance Mix USA collection and this snapshot of the dance music scene in 1996 is excellent. I've been lisening to this CD regularly since it was released and I never get tired of it. Rhythm of the Night, Tonight is the Night and Another Night are the SUPER TRACKS on this disk.

This is the best CD one could possibly listen to. It has so many great songs (In Da House, Together, Outa Space, Phuture Vibes). This is a must have CD. SO if you like partying then go ahead and buy it.

Year after their 1995 album "Club-Bizarre", U96 where out with "heaven" on 1996.I bought this CD and since then i enjoy hearing it EVERY TIME over and over again!

I own every album of this group, and 'till 1996 they haven't made such a great album! I love it.

BUY IT! highly recommended for every dance music fans( and U96..).you're gonna get into a "U96 MOMENT" and never get out of it. I promise...

I first heard this cd when I was dancing in a strip club in L.A. Traci Lords is yes the porn star who made headlines with her underagescandal in the 80's. According to her biography, this cd did very well when it came out in the early 90's. It has a number of really great songs including Fallen Angel and Control, which were the singles released of the album. Traci Lords is just sexy anyways you want to spin it and this cd is no joke. A lot of the songs were produced by Juno Reactor, who also had a lot of big hits in the early rave years. I thought maybe this cd would be a little cheesy, but it wasn't whatsoever and there are even a few nice downtempo tracks as well as the harder techno versions. Featuring some exclusive remixes, this mix is a good choice for dance collectors, especially since most tracks run more than 6 minutes.

Things start off on the right foot with an energetic electro house stomper by Fallen Angel, with an alternatve sounding female vocal. HOT. This segues into another slammin track in the same style by Deux. That's why the third track, an instrumental which samples the ultimate Todd Terry classic doesn't work for me--SO dated sounding. But that's okay, because the peak hour diva anthems begin with Offer Nissim, followed by only 4 minutes of a Vernessa Mitchell slammer! The huge Deborah Cox hit also gets only 5 minutes, but you can get a longer version on other compilations. Debby Holiday can do no wrong ... Read More:

The reason I bought this cd was not for its lyrical content though when spoken they add to the coherent composition of this thematically crafty, and well-rounded early piece from The Shamen.

Most people knew them from the Top Of The Pops smash; Ebeenezer "E's are Goode." Hence some hardcore dance, or rave purists were probably tempted to write them off for this, and like sounding singles. With keen interest in a few things nostalgic I find this album as something that now gives their image some dimension, making it clear that they aren't all about Mr.C prancing around the place yelling; "naughty, naughty, very, very naughty."
