Anyone who disagrees with my claim (the title of this review) obviosly hasn't heard this. My first introduction to Pete Rock was from the production he lent to other MC's (most notably; solo Wu Tang artist's, Rakim, Biggie, and Nas.) As time went on, I began to hear more, and more of his work. Then I finally heard the song T.R.O.Y off this album, and that was enough for me to order this. I'll never forget the day this showed up in the mail. I expected it to be good, but I wasn't prepared for HOW good. The first time I get an album I always listen to it all the way through, but usually I'll be tempted to skip atleast a few tracks, cause let's face it - very few albums are FLAWLESS. I was more and more amazed throughout this album as to how ... Read More:

Despite Wyclef Jean still having no problem scoring hit singles, all his albums released after The Carnival have been pretty lackluster. Now he's trying again with Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant.
Scooter McGavin is on point with his review, but I'll say that by looking at the title alone, it appears that Clef himself realizes the quality of said albums, which is why he's possibly reverting back to his old formula. But considering that the original Carnival came out over ten years ago, the problem lies within that formula now sounding dated. But Clef isn't actually going back that far per se: there's no rapping on this album (well, not from him, anyway). The problem is the same problem he usually has: he's trying to mix too many styles ... Read More:

It's rare in this day and age that a movie and its accompanying soundtrack(s) goes great together. Warner Sunset and Atlantic Records did an awesome job with the release, "Space Jam-Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture", the soundtrack to the 1996 flick starring Warner Brothers' legendary icon, Bugs Bunny, and retired NBA superstar, Michael Jordan.
Featuring an array of international superstars and producers, the soundtrack was a definite platinum hit during the late 1990's. What can I say?....every song is an anthem. Songs like Quad City DJs' title track, "Space Jam", Salt-N-Pepa's "Upside Down (Round and Round)", '90's club diva, Robin S. with "Givin' U All That I Got" and D'Angelo's jazz-inspired, "I Found My Smile Again" helps to ... I dont usually write reviews but young jeezy really came with a strong cd here. Top notch beats and production puts jeezy over the top on this one. His braggadosious voice and confident rhymes really show that the man loves what he does and he gives it to his fans with real talk.

I think this makes a great gift for those who are jazzy music lovers. Especially those who are "holier than thou" and who can't listen to hip hop music as much...this is a great alternative. LOL!

K'naan's "Dusty Foot Philosopher" is on that real tip. Kid grew up in a warzone and caught the last flight to Canada before the airport shut down. Since then he's been rocking the house. Saw him live with Stephen Marley last year and he killed it! Glad the cd is finally available in the states.

A few weeks ago I knew almost nothing about House of Pain. What I did know was Everlast, now a trashy blues singer, and DJ Lethal, who embarassingly ended up with Limp Bizkit, were members, and that wasn't encouraging. I figured they were ranked barely above Vanilla Ice in the realm of pre-Eminem white rappers. Then one day my roommate was playing a song I really liked, which never happens. It had that early 90s sound I love and the beat seemed to be the work of DJ Muggs, one of my favorite producers. I was surprised to learn it was House of Pain's "Jump Around," and I immediately did my research and then ordered this album.
What I got was a decent CD, not bad, not great. Everlast isn't a terrible rapper but he's not that good, either. He's got a very simple ... Read More:

This kind of music takes me back to a time when men really expressed their love for women and this were some great times.Every song on this CD expressed that.I would recommend this CD to anyone who still believe in romance.
