If i had to pick the best Wu Tang solo album this would be it without any question. Gza may be one of the finest lyricist to come out. The production is top notch. The lyrics are dope, what more can you ask for its wutang. Duel Of The Iron Mic would be one of my favorite joints. Swordsmen, Cold World, 4th Chamber and B.i.b.l.e are all dope tracks. And who could forget Shadowboxin, i dont know anyone that doesnt know that song, wu fan or not.

Outkast's second album is one of the greatest sophomore releases of all time. Big Boi and Dre continue with what they left off in Southernplayalistic... They have some of the best beats the South has ever produced and two of the best flows out there. It truly is a combination that can't go wrong. Idlewild and Speakerboxx/Love Below are decent albums, but do not judge Outkast until you listen to ATLiens and Aquemini. Both are easily 10 out of 10 classics.

Run DMC seems a bit dated in a way, an artifact of the 80s, but that might be a good thing. Their raps are free of the celebration of anti-social behavior that's found in a lot of current rap. It's not sissy stuff, but you can listen to it without worrying if children are around. Their stuff has a heavy beat to it, it's kind of like rap/rock. Maybe that's a big part of why they had significant appeal to white kids and broadened the audience of rap. Indeed, Run DMC is one of the lead rap groups ever, largely because they were instrumental in taking rap mainstream. One of the most successful and, more importantly, lyrically respectable rappers, the multi-faceted career of Will Smith should understandably make a lot of other rappers jealous. As the "Fresh Prince" half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, he rapped his way to one of the definitive summer anthems in history, the aptly-titled "Summertime". Unfortunately, like many other rappers, both talented and not-so-talented, he has a fairly intense craving for samples, and to that end, he uses too many great songs that were just fine as they were, and makes no effort at all to hide that fact. This was Usher's strongest album at its time of release. This album had alot of anticipation around it after the original 8701, All About U, got scrapped due to heavy bootlegging. So the attention was definetly on Usher, to see if this album would live up to the hype. And i have mixed feelings about this album. It is definetly a strong album, no doubt about it. With 8701, Usher finally found HIS sound. And that sound lies somewhere between R&B loverman, and dancing Pop star. While i personally like to see the R&B side more, we do get a pretty even distribution of R&B/Pop on this album. Usher has never had the best voice. He has a good voice with unbelievable range.
