This is the conclusion of the last great radio variety show. The final episode is a compilation of all the best bits from the past shows, and can show you how sometimes its better to cut a joke short before it becomes painful.
Yes, some jokes drag on, but there are enough great skits to make the slow moments worth going through.

While there are many sets on Old Time Radio out there, none have yet come close to this one. 60 radio classics are here, all selected by the great broadcasting legend Walter Cronkite. I'm a a die hard collector of Old Time Radio shows, so this set was the perfect one for me.
Like Comedy? You'll get such classics as Jack Benny's "Your Money, or Your Life?", Abott & Costello's "Who's On First?", and the infamous Don Ameche & Mae West "Adam&Eve" sketch, on The Chase And Sanbourn Hour.
Like to be scared out of your wits? The best horror broadcast of all time "The Thing On The Fourble Board" will certinly do the job, as will Escape's nail-bitting classic "Three Skeleton Key", and it's other shocker "Leinengan Vs. The Ants". Add ... Read More:

It's always tough to pick just ten shows, but there are a few odd omissions. For example: a) The Shadow was one of the most popular and longest running mystery/crime fighter series ever, b) Fibber McGee and Molly was an extremely popular comedy that created the first radio show spin-off when it launched The Great Gildersleeve, and c) Sam Spade is probably still the most famous of all radio detectives. But this is still a good, entertaining selection. The following is a list of episodes on this set:
1) The Burns and Allen Show
- Last year's Christmas bills 01-09-47
- Crime wave - getting a dog for protection 03-20-47
2) Dragnet
- The Big Test 08-28-52
- The Big Ray 09-04-52

It's a sad comentary on the state of affairs of CD production in North America when one entitled Laugh, Laugh, Laugh! An Anthology Of American Comedy has to come out of England!!
This one from Pavilion Records Limited of East Sussex provides 17 tracks featuring some classic humourous moments captured on record, led by Phil Harris & His Orchestra doing the hilarious Dark Town Poker Club [we ain't gonna play this game according to no Mr. Hoyley - we gonna play it according to ME] - a # 10 in 1946.
Also here as charted songs are Johnny Mercer's The Strip Polka [# 7 in 1942], The William Tell Overture by Spike Jones & His City Slickers [# 6 in 1948], and the extremely hard-to-find Dusty Fletcher version of Open The Door Richard, which hit # 3 in 1947 with ... Read More:

I'm not much of a Western fan, but the collection contained a "Tales of the Texas Rangers" episode, so I bought it. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised. The "Texas Rangers" story was, of course, a 20th Century detective story, but it had a Western setting, and Ranger Jase Pearson got to ride his trusty horse Charcoal as he tracked the bad guy through the mesquite. "Texas Rangers" was a little out of place, but not much.
The other stories easily divided themselves into three types:
[1] Juvenile Westerns: "The Lone Ranger", "Hopalong Cassidy", and "The Cisco Kid". All three were boyhood heroes of mine, and the stories proved quite enjoyable. "Hopalong Cassidy" actually ... Read More:
