20+ years after their debut on CD, FINALLY, there are full remasters of "Moondance", "Street Choir" and "Astral Weeks".
The bad news?
They're not available domestically from Warner Music Group USA: All three are Warner Japan only.
And the really bad news?
As of today, Amazon doesn't stock the remasters (there is a 1996 Japan-released Moondance listed, but it is NOT the remaster, so don't waste your money). Hopefully, Amazon will correct this oversight soon. The catalog numbers for the three Japan Warner remasters are WPCR-75419, -20 and -21, which streeted in Japan on 6/25/08.
These classic albums, which we have all waited so long ... Read More:

Let me start off by saying that I'm a huge Christina fan. I think she's an incredibly talented young lady with a powerhouse voice. However, the theme of this album is suppose to be a tribute to traditional jazz and blues music from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Christina has openly said that she wanted this album to reflect on old jazz music. However, the album only achieves this on 2 or 3 tracks. "Candyman" and "I Got Trouble" sound like authentic jazz tunes that could've been recorded in the 1940's. "Nasty Naughty Boy" is a sultry, seductive song that sounds like it's straight out of a 1920's burlesque strip show. The rest of the album is filled with up-tempo pop tracks (Slow Down Baby, Aint No Other Man), sappy love songs (Save Me From Myself, The Right ... Read More:

I love this album so much! I have always been on the Kirk Franklin team, and I've always enjoyed his music! However, "The Fight of My Life" absolutely took my breath away! I love EVERY song on this album! The lyrics are beautiful; the message of Christ is clear; the music is on point! I am curious to see how Kirk will top this! He absolutely floored me with this one and left me speechless!

Wow. I should have carefully read the reviews. There are some tracks on here that spark memories of the movie (purpose of a soundtrack, perhaps?). There are tracks that seem to be missing. The tracks that are here are... out of order? What gives with that? Didn't the producer of this product watch the movie? Do the studios have any idea why we don't care to support their RIAA blunders, or their 'product'.
This is a lousy excuse for a soundtrack. It offers precious little to 'add' to the film experience. And I'll be sure to avoid a Warner Brothers / Atlantic Records collaboration in the future. How disappointing.

Yes, that's right. I'm a 30-something-year-old woman (cough cough...) who is coming out of the closet to admit that I adore P!NK! I first fell in love with her music for one simple reason--the girl can sing. In a music industry where pop stars are manufactured from every pretty girl who ever appeared in a Disney movie or hosted her own Nickelodeon show, P!NK is the genuine article--talented, smart, brash and bold enough to get in your face if she has something important to say. She acknowledges this paradox in Don't Let Me Get Me from MISSUNDAZTOOD: (Hey, I said she could sing, not spell!)
"L.A. told me
You'll be a pop star
All you have to change
Is everything you are
Tired of being compared
To damn Britney ... Read More:

In the real world, another live album by Van Morrison would be met by most people & even some of his die-hard fans with a resounding yawn - yet the wonderful and largely ignored 1994 2 disc set "A Night In San Francisco" didn't and doesn't deserve that. Remastered and repackaged on this 30 June 2008 re-issue, there's even a half-decent bonus track tagged onto the end of CD 2 - "Cleaning Windows".
The album's just as good as its famous 1974 predecessor - the legendary "It's Too Late To Stop Now" - it's just a more updated version. The mixture of tracks is similar too - a lethal combination of his own best compositions (new and old) with a healthy dose of rhythm `n' blues, soul, funk and jazz classics thrown in to lively up the mix.

I would give this CD more then 5 stars if I could. It is the second cd by Amos Lee that I have purchased so far, after hearing how good the first one was, and I am sure that I will continue to by a lifelong fan.
