Finally for the fans of Incubus the wait is over. Ever since their last release of A Crow Lift of the Murder fans of the band have been "on-hold". On their sixth album "Light Grenades" Incubus doesn't disappoint. yet doesn't go above & beyond it's past releases. The song material is good, yet some lyrical content was slight disappointing.

Brendan O'Brien produces this album who has done previous albums and overall the production is good, yet some songs sound too compressed and over-produced. It lacks the fierce emotion in the vocals of singer Brandon Boyd that I loved in past Incubus releases. Songs on this album include "Quicksand", "Anna Molly", "Love Hurts" and the title track of "Light Grenades".

I purchased this because my cassette had seen it's last days. Knowing that the sound quality would be much better, I decided to get it in CD format. I love the songs...brings back so much memories. Of course, the sound is so much better than a older generation cassette. No regrets.

The first album drew me in because of a certain likeness to Supreme Beings of Leisure, but this one is more uniquely lounge sound. "The Bomb" is absolutely impossible to drive from your head.

This album is a lot more diverse and varied, which keeps you interested start to finish. One minor complaint is the singer's need to lisp her s'es seemingly on purpose. "Sugar Mama" also sounds embarrassingly like "Don't Worry, Be Happy."

But if you can get past the emulative flaws, you'll certainly enjoy the album while driving or chilling at home.

This, I would have to say is absolutely, right on. Rufus and Chaka Kahn, were, and as far as I'm concerned one of the best from the 70's. This CD features some of the best from the group. It also brings back happy times for me back in the groovy 70's. What I'm really trying to say it's a must have.

I bought this cd because I kept hearing Corinne Bailey Rae sing Free on my local jazz station and loved it! I discovered her and Marcus Miller while trying to find this song. I like them both alot, now! This cd is really great! Very upbeat and gets me going, and would be great at a party!

I first heard Robert at Claptons Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2004. He blew me away. I bought Wetlands. A few weeks later, I saw the Family Band live at a small outdoor venue. They were fantastic, high energy and relate to the crowd...literally. Robert and bassist Danyel Morgan came out into the audience high fiving and shaking hands, LONG before the end of their gig.

I own all three of their offerings and am awaiting this fall's new release. By the way, they are presently opening for Eric Clapton's Tour 2008. I suppose the 1-2-3 star people understand music better than "Slow Hand Clapton"?!?
