Her "All for you" cd is her best work by far. I have to get a new cd because I played it death. Her latest one is nice but not a big hitter with me. She could do much better, and hope that she does.

How could we not recommend the work Time magazine rated as "Best Album Of The Twentieth Century"? By the time of the recording of this album, Bob Marley had become an international rock superstar and a household name, preaching redemption through peace and compassion (and the consumption of copious amounts of ganga, a Rastafarian sacrament). The world was hanging on his every word, and he did not disappoint. Exodus has a sense of time and place, not to mention purpose. Songs like the title tune, "Guiltiness", and "The Heathen" provide the gravitas and paint pictures of a difficult world. This double album is representative of V.M.'s best recent stuff. The fact that the sublime "Shenandoah" and "Meet Me in the Indian Summer" (Orchestral version) are included is alone worth the price of purchase. I've probably listened to Shenandoah 30 times already; it's a soul-stirring beauty of a song.

I bought this DVD (Volume 2) because I loved Volume 1 so much. I consider myself a big fan, but I now realize I must not be dedicated enough to enjoy the contents of this collection. Overall, this is a great set for very committed, die-hard fans, featuring two spectacular, ground-breaking live performances and some very rare music videos. The sound and picture quality are great in my opinion, despite some criticism from other reviewers. My personal experience was not so positive, as I did not enjoy many of the obscure videos here, especially "They Don't Care About Us," "Blood on the Dance Floor," and the unnecessarily boastful opening sequence. This is the first I've bought a CD by this artist and it has been one of the regular repeating selections on my stereo since it arrived. It isn't likely to be bumped by any other artist for quite awhile, either.
