A long four years since his previous album entitled "Seal IV", the British singer of modern soul returns with his fifth solo album entitled "System" and like he has explained in interviews, it marks a major return to the dance roots of his debut album. Be mindful, if you enjoyed tracks like "Tinseltown", "Get it Together" or "Love's Divine" then you might have to put those yearnings to the test as this album brings back the energy that was present on his 1991 debut self-titled classic with songs like "If It's on My Mind", "Amazing", and the atsmopheric disco of "The Right Life". Many have expressed negative views on "Wedding Day" which featured the suprise duet with his wife, Heidi Klum. Though I was somewhat like "Huh?" when I saw the note, ... Read More:

How can anyone love this wretched woman? She sings the songs that make the whole world herl. Oh, and why do you crazy people call her a legend? She is no legend. Hahahahahahahahaha! I love crazy people who gave this woman five stars, and I laugh at them. I also love sitting at my computer and bashing this woman. It turns me on. I'm not crazy when I give this woman one star, and I know who I am.
This Cd is one of the very worst on record. This Cd has the songs that make the whole world herl. The covers of the classics like the ones by the beatles are the stupidest things this woman has ever done. Also, the original material she has on this album was one of the stupidest. "I'm Stil Waiting" is one of those songs that I'd just want to ... Read More:

McDonald paves no new ground with this release. Voice is still strong, but the songs are mediocre at best and the arrangements are just that, mediocre. Hope he can move on in his career.

Queen Latifah fails to dissapoint. There is nothing she can't do. She can rap, She can act, and she can SANG! With Trav'Lin Light, She takes on classic songs originally done by Phoebe Snow, The Pointer Sisters, 10cc, Billie Holiday, just to name a few and adds her own, new fresh spin to them. What bothers me is that when it comes to her singing, she does strictly covers which makes me wonder if it's easier for her to write rap lyrics than it is to write jazz, R&B and easy listening lyrics. I think more original non-rap songs would be nice. Adding "I know where I've Been" from Hairspray was a great way to close the album. The voice this woman has makes me wonder why she started out doing rap music in the first place

Another legend was taken from us on June 2, 2008. One of the greatest and most influential bluesmen has left us at the age of 79. The breadth of his influence can hardly be described in a few words. It is best heard in the music he left behind for us to share and in the musicians who were inspired and influenced by it. The first big hit for the Rolling Stones, after all, was a Buddy Holly song revved up with that Bo Diddley beat. The song was "Not Fade Away." The Stones also covered some of Bo's originals like "Crackin' Up" and "Mona" and again, utilized that beat on their own "Please Go Home." George Thorogood has made a career out of "Who Do You Love" and what bar band in the world has not run through "Roadrunner" a half a million times? Creedence ... Read More:

At least there are two really good songs on this disc...'Feedback' and 'Rock Wich U.' That is more than her last few discs offered up (i.e. 20Y.O. = Enjoy and Damita Jo = All Nite). Yes, those tired interludes and wispy-voiced songs are still there. I was going to buy tickets to her concert today but then figured it would be same old show (inflatable-storybook set, dry humping a male audience member, crying on a stool, etc..) Janet really needs to learn some new tricks.

I really like these Grammy CD's. You get a good selection of music but not just the hip chart songs like on the Now Thats What I Call Music CD's.

The soundtrack is highly disappointing and is a great slap in he face to the voices and spirit of the movie. I wouldn't encourage anyone to purchase this album.
