I wonder....
I really do.
Who is the advocate for fascism here?
Look at the horrible cover for this dreadful CD?
Now I'm gonna ask you again:
who is the advocate for fascism here?
Terrible, horrible people, just gross!

I've picked up most of Eric Burdon's '60s work -- The Twain Must Meet, Every One of Us, etc. -- here and there. Generally, the audio quality was so-so. Not bad, but not great, either. This compilation gets the same audio treatment that the Abkco Rolling Stones got when they were remastered, and the audio quality is uniformly excellent.
I have a small issue with Spill the Wine being listed here, since Eric did that after the Animals were history, with War. Instead, I'd have preferred River Deep, Mountain High from the last album, a double one at that, by the Animals. What was it? Cry Love, I think...
Other than that small complaint, this is an even before-and-after compilation. About half the songs are from the Mickey Most ... Read More:

Okay, so it's not the grand double disc set that's available from the U.K., but it is a long-overdue upgrade on the domestic front. And if you already own "Prelude" and are planning to buy "Live at the BBC", then the U.S. upgrades of "Days" through "Every Good Boy" will do just fine. To begin with, I was blown away by the sound quality, but buyer should also know that the re-mix has some differences, so you might want to hold on to your originals. It does, however, open us up to a whole new world of possibilities of how this album might have sounded like in the first place. In the booklet it states that the purpose of Decca Records bringing the new Deram imprint was to give the rock bands' stereo recordings more depth. (If this were true, why wasn't Procol ... Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman, David Crosby, Michael Clarke, and Gene Clarke. The Byrds. One of the top groups in their time. This represents some of their greatest hits (and there are some bonus cuts not on the original work).
Some examples of their art:
"Mr. Tambourine Man": Maybe their quintessential hit? There is the characteristic instrumental sound and the voices melding together in a typical fashion. The liner notes suggest that the Byrds were a kind of synthesis between Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I'm not so sure that I see that, but this cut might make the case for some listeners. This is a smooth melodic piece, so typical of the Byrds. A laid back sound. . . .
"Turn, Turn, Turn": Pete Seeger's song is given a Byrds' ... Read More:

One could spend a lifetime an never can say enough about the fab four. The second of the series, this has the music that I my mind is the most creative period of the Beatles. To listen to the evolution of "Strawberry Fields" or any of the songs, is to hear how such musical genious is created. However, the song that stands out is the newly discovered "Real Love" which starts the cd. Poignant strains of piano and guitar haunt this melody. More so when you remember that John and George are no longer with us except in our hearts.
Release Date October 29, 1996
As usual, the Great TALENT of the "BEATLES" is very evident in this CD,as well as all the other anthologies. It is especially interesting because there are unreleased versions of their hits while the FAB 4 were rehearsing during their recording sessions.

George really was way too underrated. This album will always be a classic.
