Steve still has it! Not a whole lot of broken ground here, but solid music with great percussion, and classic organ. His voice is still as good as when he was with Spencer Davis doing "Gimme some lovin". Nice surprise.

Jewel is talented, no questions. She has a little of everything on this album including a little of her famous yodeling. I have a lot of Jewels CD's and this one is another good one. There are defiantly some songs that I can skip over, like most albums anyone ever buys, but there are others that I could listen to over and over such as Anyone But You. I am happy that she finally did something that she has been wanting to do for years and I hope that her album does well.

As I Am is the long waited release from one of my favorite R&B stars.She shines brightly on this effort with all the right songs.I think this time her songs are more memorable and catchy,but not too commercial.Super woman Lesson Learned with John Mayer and an Teenage Love Affair ring nicely.If you are a new fan of Alicia Keyes you might want to get introduced to this one first.If your a long time fan like me I'll be playing this until its scratched and then buy it again....Its that good!

Amos Lee is a great musician/song writer, and he really shows it on one track of this CD. "Street Corner Preacher" is some of his best work and by itself is worth the price of the CD. The rest of the album is mediocre, however, so I would characterize this as a 3.5 star effort.

Neil Diamond has been around for 40 years and I've been a fan of his for about as long as that. This CD is a quiet introspective collection of songs that won't disappoint his legion of fans.

I don't normally review CD's, as I just don't have the gift to explain how songs move me; it's all so personal and the words just escape me most of the time. I'm glad I waited to review this new CD though, as I honestly didn't like it much when I first heard it. It's the kind of CD that has to grow on you and you have to get use to the fact it isn't the rock side of Diamond that so many love. These are all personal songs with both subtly and intensity and you don't quite catch that on the first hearing of it.

I know I'm a bit behind buying this album now when its been out for a few years, but I own the two newest albums and LOVE them. I have to say that this album did not disappoint me one bit. I think I like it even more than his most recent albums. The songs are so romantic and sexy. If you are a Michael Buble fan and don't have this one yet, do yourself a big favor and buy it!
