I'm not sure which is better - the music on this album or the picture on the front of it. Don Henley is not exactly known for having a sense of humor, so it's kind of nice to see that he was willing to do sort of a self-deprecating photo on the front cover. But of course the real star here is Henley's fine musical abilities. He shows why he became the voice of the Eagles and why he had the most successful solo career. For so long my favorite song was "Boys of Summer", with its wistful regret of days long past. But I made a new discovery with "Dirty Laundry", a song ahead of its time, considering how today's media behave. I love this CD! Disc 1 is very soothing. Some of his songs are just beautiful and timeless. And Disc 2 when you want to get funky. There are a few songs missing but overall it's a great collection!

I had seen this on TV and my son (9) wanted it, I waited a while and decided to look on Amazon which had it cheaper and it is a very good CD, contemporary Christian music which speaks better to my son than hymns at this age. He has downloaded songs on his MP3 and I enjoy just listening to the CD at home. Excellent choice, and CD, highly recommended.

I saw a review that almost made me not get this CD. It criticized Seal for not having partnered up with Travor Horn as he has in the past. But two thumbs up to Seal. And if you are a die-hard Seal fan like me, you too will enjoy listening to this CD. It's gritty, sensual and has some outstanding club beats too! Seal's soulful sounds are still in tact. He didn't need Trevor.

I love everything Melissa Etheridge has ever done. If put out an album of her simply singing the phone book I would buy it and probably love it. Her songs have been the sound track to my coming out and to my first serious relationship and then breakup. On the other hand, Melissa's music as always shied away from one topic which is very important to my life, faith.
in Awakening Melissa blew me away. Not only are these song beautiful and powerful but she also speaks out about issues of love, hate, faith, hope and just life.
This is one of her very best.

I've had this album for over a year and played it over and over. Took it places with me, and now I find the case is empty. Must have left it somewhere. Checked high and low. May be in a friend's car somewhere. I can't wait any longer, so I'm going to buy it again.

My 20-something son thinks I'm nuts to buy CDs at all, but what can I say . . . at least I've dumped all of my casettes. This is one of those albums you can listen to all the way through, every song, and not want to skip ahead over the three or four you don't like. It's even, thoroughly enjoyable listening music. And every now and again it gets me up dancing.

You won't regret buying this jewel. Can't wait for his new one coming in October.
