I bought the original version in '94 and have made this part of my permanent often-listened collection. This "is" by far, one of the very best produced albums in music history. Sarah made Marchand's job easy by writing such superior music. This is an etherealistly-organized, mayhemic venture of the mind, heart and soul of Ms. McLachlan. I have never heard a song like Fear that brings to you the subtle realization of personal ownership in overcoming a tragedy in a relationship. The song Fumbling is an epic endeavor that offers a fantastic sense of personal accomplishment. I love how with every album Loreena McKennitt puts out, her album is the results of her travels all over the world. On her album THE BOOK OF SECRETS (which would be her last studio album for several years before AN ANCIENT MUSE), Loreena explores the history of the celts. When I listen to the cd, I feel like I am getting a history lesson in celtic history. I like that Loreena writes music that is never insulting or trite.Although the album version of "The Mummer's Dance" is a far cry from the radio version, it is nonetheless still a joy to listen to. The album version is longer and slower while the radio versoin is shorter and more upbeat. Me thinks radio wanted a version that would appeal to a broader audience. This is my first serious exposure to Kelly's music. I've heard her hits on the radio, and liked most of them, but I was never drawn to her enough to buy a CD until an unusual string of events led me to this one. I'm glad, because what I heard from the previous albums didn't come close to this. We all know she has a good voice - that's why she is where she is today - but it's what she can do with it that counts. For one thing, she's the first singer I've heard in a long time to actually ROCK in the classic rock tradition, like Pat Benatar and Ann Wilson of Heart. At the same time, her musicians, on the "harder" tracks, are doing modern, sometimes grunge-like rock, with some decorative sounds thrown in by production, and Kelly's voice fits it like a glove. ... I've been watching this DVD on and off for the last ten years. It still brings tears to my eyes, still makes me laugh, and still makes my heart well up. Fleetwood Mac is a phenomenon, and they prove it with this DVD. The performances are all amazing, and they are truly all at the top of their games.

I was born 30 years too late... if only to see them, Zeppelin, The Who... I guess I'll have to be satisfied with this amazing DVD. Wonderfully put together and wonderfully performed!

As a victim of the flood in cedar rapids this song is the only thing that has got me through. It reminds me each time I hear it that everything I have is his, to give and take away. He is always there in the storm.
