What can I say, I love Michael Buble. We play it at work in the reception area so it has to be something that most people enjoy.

Our children introduced us to Jack Johnson several years ago. His music is contagious, thought-provoking and mellow. There is no screaming or swearing -- it's relaxing and upbeat. Some of the songs have lyrics that are repeated...and repeated...and repeated. However, we enjoyed the CD so much that we sent copies of it to my 5 brothers and sisters. Highly recommended.

Despite having enjoyed 'The Committments' lo those many years ago, I had little interest in this film or its music. Until, of course, I broke down and watched it under duress, and was thrown into a bewilderment of emotions I could not have believed possible. Such a little film with such a big heart; I abhor blatant sentimentality, but this was something genuinely special, in no small part because of the awkward charm of this score/soundtrack. Neither of these two have particularly good voices, even by folksinger standards; the piano and guitar are relatively generic; and even the lyrics are not overly original. And yet everything together is so honestly beautiful that I can't recall the last time I was so touched by a fusion of music and imagery. ... Read More:

Simply the best, most popular songs you'd want to hear over and over again. I can't even believe I spent less than $10 on something so great!
Sit back, relax, and enjoy....or take a drive; either way, you just can't be disappointed with Journey!

I know I have a hard time differentiating between all of these double-disc sets that seem to come out endlessly in the trance/dance genre. Soooo many to choose from, it's hard to know what's just good and what's great. I'm hooked on Armin Van Buuren's State of Trance series and I think I can now say that I'm officially hooked on Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise. This newest version Vol. 7 Asia is really good!
It's always a tough go to keep me interested in a mix CD for 2+ hours, but Tiesto's ISOS 7 does it. There's a good mix of instrumentals vs. vocals too so it doesn't get too stagnant. It's uplifting for electronic music, and I loved the vibe/atmosphere throughout both discs. There is some "epic trance" on here, which is great.

"Loverly" is the fifth album by Jazz chanteuse Cassandra Wilson that I own. Its name is taken from the song "Wouldn't it be loverly" (from the musical "My fair lady" - an album which coincidentally I got on CD for the first time this week) which she covers here in a big band Jazz style.
"Loverly" is actually an album of covers, the lone original number being the heavily African accented "Arere" (thanks to Nigerian drummer Lekan Babalola, as well as Cassandra singing in Yoruba). The album has a rather loose, spontaneous feel which sounds great. Much like its predecessor "Thunderbird", it displays diverse musical hues in a subtle way.
Songs like the swinging piano sprinkled opening cut "Lover come back to me" (with an extensive ... Read More:

If you like the first 3 Chicago records (when they were innovative, allowed Robert Lamm & James Pankow to write & arrange) then this record is a real disappointment. For me the loss of Terry Kath was sad, the departure of Danny Seraphine indicative of the music business & let's not mention Peter Cetera he just used the band for his own brand of high pitched MOR music. For me the main offender is Bill Champlin, his dreadful voice overshadows this record how he hijacked a career under the banner of Chicago remains a mystery. Robert Lamm should have taken over the vocals and artistic control. Until Robert Lamm takes control (1969-1974) then Chicago will always be a MOR power ballad band.

As I sit here listening to this cd for about the tenth time, it still sounds brand new. This is the best cd 'The Offspring' have recorded since 'Ixnay'. Some reviewers have compared some riffs from this cd to Coldplay and Green Day, saying that they are rip offs. To them I say, are you aware how many f***ing songs are out there? (every single song ever written has another song that sounds similar) This cd is very original and I don't see Coldplay or Green Day at all. There is something for everyone (power ballads, punk tracks, pop punk songs, even a dance rock song) To me, it's like they took their discography and picked two or three of their best songs from each cd and compiled this one. Very very solid cd, and to the reviewer that said they sound like sell outs, how ... Read More:
