The first thing I wanna say is that this album is not Confessions. Confessions was a classic and no artist makes a classic record every time out, as a matter of fact I don't know any that make a classic back to back but with that being said, Here I Stand is classic Usher.

The thing people should have figured out about Usher is that most of the times his albums reflect whats going on in his life at the time. With My Way, it was him coming into his own and trying to become a man, with Confessions it was him going through a lot of turmoil and the ups and downs that come with being young, rich, and a sex symbol. Who We Are

Lifehouse is one of the better recent bands. This album is a very good collection.

It features good vocals and instrumentation. It contains several catchy songs. The better ones include the following: Disarray, First Time, Whatever It Takes, Who We Are, Broken, and Storm. The last two songs contain a spiritual and likely Christian theme. They are very good.

If you are not familiar with this group, 'Who We Are' is worth a listen. I also think that their previous album, 'No Name Face' is rather good.

Good CD, but it sounds like James is shouting to me from a car window as it's driving by. I don't know if they can remaster it properly or just should go ahead and re-record it along with Ride the Lightning and Kill 'em all.

To tell the truth ,I wasn't expecting that much from this album. To me, Joni Mitchell's songs in the original form are hard to top. I haven't even been very impressed with her own recent covers of her classic work. So I put off getting this until recently. I am happy to report that for the most part this CD exceeded my expectations. First of all, I love the downtime mood of the proceedings. Herbie was creating an album, not just a collection of tunes. The pacing and order was well thought out, as was the choice of tunes, covering some of her more well known compositions, yet sprinkling in a few more obscure offerings.
