I recently purchased this CD on Amazon and was initially shocked at the shoddy packaging quality of this title. The inserts in the case were literally printed off of a pretty bad ink jet printer (at low resolution, I might add) and the CD itself was burned off of a computer with a stomper-type label affixed to it. The recording itself was just okay, but easily gets muddy in musical segments with strong percussion. Sound definition and overall mixing is weak to say the least (perhaps the instrument wasn't mic'd properly). Too bad, because considering the esoteric nature of the subject matter, it makes this disk the only real choice available.

As the manager of "The Oktoberfest Webring," I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Geared for American audiences, all of the songs were tuneful, and most of them are familiar to Americans. Some were sung in German, some in English, and some were bilingual. The voices were pleasant, the sound quality was excellent, and each rendition was lively, colorful, and entertaining. The whole presentation was quite professional, done in good taste, and definitely NOT a brawl scene. I highly recommend it.

This song has been pplayed at every wedding in the upper midwest for at least as long as i've been alive. its pretty funny to watch people dance to. i'd recomend getting the orginal version though not the kids version.

I loved the Six Fat Dutchmen. The compact disk was great because it had a beat. The songs are awesome because they combine modern items of enjoyment with things of past enjoyment. Anyone can laugh, cry, or sing along with the compact disk, even if it is another language! This compact disk gave me an enjoyment of a lifetime. After listening to it I had to buy my own copy. I would suggest this compact disk to everyone! Enjoy!

I was very skeptical - trying a CD without hearing it first. This has been my best polka CD purchase to date. It takes me back to my grandparents' (God bless them) homes a few decades ago. The music is crisp, clear and performed in the best Slovenian-style you can get. Our whole family, elementary-aged children included (!) HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this CD! There is not a song we all don't just love (though my personal favorites are 1, 2, 4, 5 and 19). ORDER it and be ready to ENJOY!
