As far as I am concerned Brian Tracy can do no wrong. This book does not fail to satisfy. From the procrastinator to the dedicated goal setter there is something in this book for everyone. The advice is easily applied and you WILL notice a difference in your output when you apply his great advice. It's short enough to read quite frequently but long enough to get the meaty substance to keep you thinking for a while.

The quality is tinny and sounds scratchy if you're used to the smoothed out quality of digitized recordings, you may not like this CD; however, if you remember listening to the duo on scratched vinyl, this may be your lucky day, because the CD sounds like their originals. This is a lot of fun for the whole family.

I have not tried meditation for weight loss before, so this is my first attempt using meditation with a guided CD. I find the CD to be very helpful. I get anxious when i'm confronted with food, which often sabotages me more than anything else. This CD helps me relax, by listening to it before i'm confronted with a lot of food. The one line sayings in each meditation stick in my brain, and I definitely find that I am more mindful of what I eat. It helps me feel more in control. Meditations are easy to listen to, and most are relatively short for someone who is busy. Even the 6 minute meditation is very helpful, and even the busiest of people should be able to fit it in. It was very relaxing and I come out of it feeling refreshed.

My goodness, so much complaining! I originally found this collection on cassette for less than five bucks and would have paid much more for this treasure. Think of it as "the portable King", and be grateful that you can be fully enlightened even by fragments heard between getting gas and buying groceries! I'm afraid it's easy to get jaded in this ironically sound-byte driven era of MP3s &"more for less money" and miss the point -- this man of God offered more "meat" in 30 seconds than most people do now with 30 minutes of blather. Especially in a time when many don't know of King's name as more than cause for a day off of work or school, a gathering of these "nuggets" might just begin to get their attention, so they can then seek more. Let me start by saying that I'm a big Soul Coughing fan. I just love the sound those guys put together, and the hep-cat poetry is awesome. Even though they have been defunct for years now, they remain one of my favorite bands.
So, I finally broke down and bought some of Doughty's solo stuff. After reading reviews on all his solo albums, it seemed to me that this one was the most well-received. So, I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say... I'm really not impressed with either of these discs.

I'm a huge fan of blue comedy (read: dirty), but Mike Birbiglia is currently my favorite comic, and he's pretty much anti-blue. He's hilarious, and pretty clean, for the most part. He doesn't so much tell jokes, as relate true stories in a hilarious fashion. I bought both his CDs for my 15-year old nephew as gifts, and would recommend them to ALL comedy fans 13 and up. Definitely something the whole family can enjoy, as long as the family has senses of humor.

She will never probably have any idea how many nights she has sung me to sleep ;).

I look for a performance and a live concert to come near me soon.

I would like to see her, however, embrace the more artistic and less of the skimpy clothing side.

There is a delicate line between flash, art, and trash, and some footage and photos of her cross the line with me.
