Pretty well everything by Brian Tracy can be summed up as a Masterpiece and it's no surprised he's the most sought after speaker in the business world. Tracy's message of clarity in what you're after, getting the right training and going for it not matter what is consistent in most of his programs.
I found Goals to be more focused on setting targets which are measurable while achievable and outrageous at the same time. He makes too many references to list but quotes several of the great industrialists like Ford, Firestone, J.P. Morgan and so forth who started with little or no money and became the greatest of their industry simply because they made their dream happen through the detailed methods he discusses. Let me start by saying that I'm a big Soul Coughing fan. I just love the sound those guys put together, and the hep-cat poetry is awesome. Even though they have been defunct for years now, they remain one of my favorite bands.
So, I finally broke down and bought some of Doughty's solo stuff. After reading reviews on all his solo albums, it seemed to me that this one was the most well-received. So, I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say... I'm really not impressed with either of these discs.

I love the 2 CD set. There are poems which you understand now and some later depending on life experience, I enjoy listening and experiencing these lovely poems by the great poets of all time read by the greatest actors and orators of all time. I really recommend this compilation.

I was a little let down by this CD. I am a fan of other things Stephen Cope has done and was expecting to be really excited by this. But there is nothing new here and it seems much more surface level than his other works (perhaps it is the spoken vs. written, but I find people like Pema Chodrun and Jack Kornfield very compelling on audio). This would make a nice introduction for someone who really has not spent much time on yoga/meditation, but is probably not for people who have read Cope's work.

I'm still waiting for a funny line from this icon of comedy.

After listening to it, and not laughing. I wonder if his lofty reputation is merely because he was persecuted and hounded so much for his so-called "obscene" language.

I feel sympathy for the horrors he experienced, but I don't find his act to be funny in this cd.

I was very surprised by the beautiful singing voice of Dana. It added to the rosary. I would like to obtain a CD of just her singing. The voice's were very clear. I'm just sorry the Luminous mystries are not included.
