This is great instruction on interpreting your own dreams. Instead of giving you a list of this symbol means that. She explains a process for figuring out what each element of a given dream means to you personally. And then retelling the dream with those meanings substituted. "I stepped into a brightly lit open field..." might become "I stepped into brightly lit freedom..." I applied this to a dream that did not seem very significant. It was about characters from a TV show having a conversation. I figured I had the dream because I'd watched the show before bed that night. Hands down one of the best we'll ever see. When Dick Gregory puts you in a class with Mark Twain and Richard Pryor in terms of funniest ever, that says something. I found a copy used at a Newbury Comics, and for half off, and after listening, I would easily pay the 70$ for this collection.

I purchased 2 hypnosis and relaxation CD's through Amazon; "Eliminate TMJ and Teeth Grinding", by Scott Sulak and this one. The TMJ CD was a bust, but this CD was wonderful! I've been struggling with panic attacks and anxiety for 6 months now. After a 9 week bout with Paxil and several attempted "natural" remedies, what seems to work the best (for me) is good old fashioned cognitive therapy and this hypnosis CD. I do occasionally find myself falling asleep throughout this recording, but there is an insert that states you will still be able to subconsciously take in Trevor's suggestions. Abbott and Costello are comedy classics. Their fast-paced dialogue will keep you laughing even if you've heard the routines before. The quality is tinny and sounds scratchy if you're used to the smoothed out quality of digitized recordings, you may not like this CD; however, if you remember listening to the duo on scratched vinyl, this may be your lucky day, because the CD sounds like their originals. This is a lot of fun for the whole family.

If you remember fondly the poetry and music of Rod McKuen from the 60's and 70's as I do, you will enjoy this vintage McKuen CD. It includes many of Rod's best..."I'll Catch the Sun", "If You Go Away" and "The Importance of the Rose"...to name a few and one, "Soldiers Who Want to be Heroes" unfortunately hits home as deeply today as it did in the 1960's. I was so happy to find this CD as my McKuen collection was on 8-track tapes :-( After listening to a few of the songs, I dug out my McKuen poetry books, lit a candle, sipped a glass of wine and sunk back into the kinder and gentler days of my youth.

Let me start by saying that I'm a big Soul Coughing fan. I just love the sound those guys put together, and the hep-cat poetry is awesome. Even though they have been defunct for years now, they remain one of my favorite bands.
So, I finally broke down and bought some of Doughty's solo stuff. After reading reviews on all his solo albums, it seemed to me that this one was the most well-received. So, I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say... I'm really not impressed with either of these discs.
