Rza returns (for half the album) to his bobby steels / rzarector persona on this album and it is about time. Rza takes the listener through a semi autobiographical journey. The album starts out with a young bobby partying and selling drugs without much care for the future or wisdom. Eventually his drug dealer gets him to read a book (not sure what book this is, anyone know?) and bobby changes his outlook on life and becomes spiritual. He changes his name to Prince Rakeem (his first alias). The second half of the album is filled with conscious bangers and is a glimpse into his self hyped masterpiece "The Cure". This work really puts the Gospel to life. I've read many of these passages before, and with the music behind it the Word totally spoke to my heart. We need more of this especially with JP2's voice. So soothing, loving and totally lifts me up to the Father in Heaven.

An album I've enjoyed for years now. The lyrics, at times, approach hyperventilation, as in the title track. Rant & roll sez it perfectly. At times, platitudinous, unfortunately - but as fierce as Robinson Jeffers - a 'strong tongue' if there ever was one. Terrific backup musicians. Makes me want to pick up a 12-string electric. Wow!

This is a wonderful CD featuring King's speeches. Yes, I do wish there are more however, you can still feel King's fire and strength inside these speeches!!!!!!!. Although I was only 3 at the time of the Mountaintop speech, I felt like I had lost my father all over again. This had moved me to tears and now I really know what my dad and others like him was fighting for!!!!!!

After listening to this CD, I fondly recall many of Grizzard's stories from his books. His story telling, that he distinctly inherited from his father, truly set the tone for this collection.

As a long time fan, Lewis Grizzard's "Addicted to Love: Live" will delight the first time time listener.

If you are into clean comedy, this CD is for you.

I entertain my minivan-bound children with books on tape/CD. The best are the Harry Potter series. There are many other good ones. And this is a good non-fiction title for children.

Kids need heroes, and this tape provides my 5 and 7 year old boys with some impressive ones. The heroes come from the worlds of politics, science, literature, religion... This tape is one of my 7 year old son's favorites. It has a very positive message for him. He gets ideas of what he could be.

Warren G. is one of the most consistant and underrated producers of the West Coast. On his third album, his production comes into form on many songs, and shows why he is such a talented producer. All of his beats have that West Coast vibe that you can just sit back and chill to. I first got into Warren with the video "I Want It All" with Mack 10, back in late '99/early '00, which made me a fan of his music.

On this album, Warren accomplishes two obsticales:
