A must have. First solo release without Andrew Lloyd Webber. It's a glimpse at a little creative freedom she had. It's a themed album focused on the sea, oceanic animals and animal rights. Very cute in a sense and vital if beginning a Sarah Brightman collection. I feel it is some of her best "pop" work. Very innocent and natural.

Please do not waste your money on this one. The sound is tourchuring. We could not even listen through the first act! It was complete waste of money for us! Poor Mozart, and I always thought that you can't go wrong with Mozart's pieces, what a dissapointment.

SIMPLY PUT THE NYC OPERA PRODUCTION OF "LA RONDINE" WAS WONDERFUL. IT IS A SHAME THERE IS NO DVD OF THE ORIGINAL THAT AIRED SOME TIME AGO WITH ELIZABETH KNIGHTEN. BEVERLEY SILLS CONSIDERED THIS ONE OF HER FAVORITES. THE SECOND ACT WAS LITERALLY, A SHOW STOPPER. ACT THREE WAS AS OPERATIC AS CAN BE.
I ALSO THINK MARTHA DOMINGO'S ENDING DETRACTS FROM THE NATURAL CONCEPT.

I started listening to this when I had to cram for an exam the other day. I couldn't stop listening to it, and when it came time for the test, I wish my professor could have let me listen to it while I was taking the test!
All the pieces are upbeat, while at the same time not distracting.

Ms.Lucia Micarelli is truly a gifted artist whom I am honored to have come across. Josh Groban gave her a huge advance in her career by putting her on his tour back in 2004. I think she is not only a talented artist, but is also a great person whom seems so down to earth. Lucia, keep making music please!

The rhythms are exciting, some of the orchestration is clever and well-done. Listening to the CD overcomes some of the problems of a live production: achieving a balance between acoustic and amplified music, overcoming the lack of contrast (almost all women's voices) and utter lack of dramatic movement (nothing happens). The voices are good and perform the music well. Still, there is not much here for them to work with and the result is mediocre.
The music, while catchy at first, is simple, undeveloped and repetitive. The story lacks drama and movement. It is essentially a reverie on Lorca, not the man, his poetry, his sexuality, his art or politics but just some tired ahistorical cliches about freedom and fighting facism climaxing in his assassination. ... Mary Fahl's voice gets better with time no matter what side of time she's on. I've been a fan since her arrival with the group "October Project." Her lyric s are thoughtful and her alto voice, hauntingly beautiful.

A treasure! If only for the two rare and marvelous acts by the incredibly lithe and lovely Moira Shearer. The video quality is surprisingly good, also.

This is one of the most beautiful and personal recordings I have ever heard. There's really nothing more to say. I just wish it were a double album.

Following their release of Artur Rubinstein's Grieg, Chopin and Saint-Saëns concertos, Deutsche Grammophon issues another fascinating programme about the great pianist, recorded two years earlier, in August 1973, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Rubinstein can be heard and seen in Beethoven's 3rd and Brahms's 1st, both accompanied by the Concertgebouw Orchestra under Bernard Haitink.
Produced by the same team, with Hugo Käch directing, the great Max Wilcox who had been recording Rubinstein since 1959 as audio producer, and Robert Hofer responsible for the photography, this DVD provides further insight in the artistry of one of the most significant pianists of the previous century in the indian summer ("autumn" would be too strong a word for the 86-year old Rubinstein) ...
