My husband and I love this collection. We keep it in the car and don't even listen to the radio anymore. It takes us back to the time when we were young and care free.

AFTERMATH was a major departure for The Rolling Stones. Their previous albums (three in Britain, five in the US) were mostly covers, sprinkled with a few Jagger-Richards originals. AFTERMATH contains all original material, and some of the best the Stones would ever do. It was also their first album to be recorded in stereo, and although it doesn't have the production sheen of The Beatles, the Stones' music was never meant to be that clean.
The British release featured a different cover photograph, kicked off with "Mother's Little Helper" instead of "Paint It Black" and included three tracks which were left off the U.S. version. While the British edition gives you more songs for your buck, I still prefer the American edition. ... Read More:

I was born in 1976, so I didn't really grow up listening to these songs. However, many of them still get heavy airplay on classic rock stations. Not one song on this album is bad. Personal favorites include "Cherry Bomb" and "Tuesday's Gone." Other solid tracks include "Low Rider," "Tush" and "Love Hurts."
If you've seen the film, you already know that it lives and dies by the music that's constantly played in it. Much like "Swingers," "Dazed And Confused" is a very good film, but the soundtrack selection makes it great.
I gave this album four stars because there are some key tunes missing (most notably "Hurricane," by Bob Dylan). Also, the classic rock vibe is broken up by "Jim Dandy," which doesn't quit fit in as well as the rest ... Read More:

Aside from a couple "best of" compilations, I never really cared much for Sinatra. I preferred Dean Martin and thought that even Sinatra's hits were OK at best. Then I heard this album, and now I understand why people went crazy for this man. I listened to this on my drive to work, and the sadness stuck with me for the remainder of my shift. This is a masterpiece which should be heard by all music fans, and it does a great job of getting you to want to hear more of what Sinatra has to offer. His singing on this album is perfect, delivering the melancholy in such an effective manner that you want to put your arm around the guy and tell him that everything's gonna turn out alright. The key factor on this album, however, is Nelson Riddle, someone who I never heard of ... Read More:

Here, we have a brilliant assemblage of '60s tunes that will transport any Baby Boomer back to as close as one can get to the good old days.
I particularly love this CD because they've revived some great songs that would have been otherwise forgotten for me. I swear that the folks who pulled this brilliant selection of tracks all together into one CD must be the scoundrels who stole my beloved giant box of 33s and 8-tracks!
It would have been nice if they had included each and every song from this superb film but something is better than nothing at all. For anyone into '60s nostalgia, this CD is a must.

Yep I love Frank, just about anything he has ever done sits well with me BUT, this CD here, well it ranks right at the top. Nelson Riddle and Frank were perfect together. The cooking chemistry between these two was nothing short of brilliant and it all fit perfect in this collection of songs. The two cranked out many albums together in the mid and late 50s, all wonderful in their own way (Moonlight Sinatra is my favorite mid 60's), but this one has to be the at the top. Franks chops were in their prime, the selection of songs and Riddles orchestrations, perfect fit.
With a Riddle/Sinatra song you know right off before the singing starts if Riddle arranged the song. Just the introduction speaks volumes. Don't get me wrong, Billy May can also cook but there is just ... Read More:

"Let's Go Away For Awhile" is an instrumental piece from The Beach Boys legendary album "Pet Sounds". Hard to Find 45s on CD, Volume 6: More 60's Classics has some very good old tune that used to make thee airwaves sizzle back in the day! These songs are presented here in incredibly good sound; and the artwork is very nicely done. This is certainly a must-have for fans of the "oldies but goodies!"
"Lightnin' Strikes" by Lou Christie starts the CD off with a huge hit; and this is a fine song by Lou Christie. He sings this so very well; his excellent diction helps his performance even further. The female backup chorus works wonders for this rock and roll tune and the melody is very catchy and pretty at once. Tommy Roe also kicks in his own contribution with his hit "Everybody;" "Everybody" showcases Tommy's fine voice--and I can't figure out why he didn't have more hits in his day! Tommy Roe could ...
