1968 was an awesome year for music and this is one of the finest things to come out of it, and any other year in fact. Positively exploding with creative songwriting the concept is perfectly created musically. Lyrically perceptive, musically energetic and melodic, all Ray Davies best points are shown to full effect on this album. Genius. Still massively influencial today with artists like Nick Worrall everything Ray does is pretty darn good but this could be his best. Enough said.
Release Date November 20, 2001
Two months before Dallas 1963, four months before the Beatles/Ed Sullivan 1964, the 1950's were about to end! Dean, Frank & Sammy the top three individual entertainers in the World come together for this superb live recording @ The Sands in Vegas. This is a 1st class effort all the way.
IMO the KEY to the packs icon status is Dean Martin, while Frank maybe the greatest singer & Sammy the greatest entertainer,Dino has the greatest personality. Buy this CD you will love it!
Release Date December 13, 1990
The reason I gave this 3 CD Set 4 stars instead of 5? These recordings
were made before 'Stereo' came along. But, the engineers did a great job
of transfering (Re-mastering?) the songs to CD, and they sound very good.
Seventy-five classics by the greatest crooner of the 20th century.
Interested in 'Sinatra in Stereo'? You might also buy "The Reprise
Collection"-- it's ALL in stereo. Buy both-- you'll be glad you did.

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy: A Collection is a very strong single CD compilation by The Buckinghams; they were a famous group with a lot of hits in the 1960s. The sound quality is excellent and I love that artwork!
"Kind Of A Drag" is definitely one of the best rock and roll torch songs of the golden era of rock and roll. The Buckinghams harmonize very well and the music that goes with their singing fits in perfectly! "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" is a catchy cover of Lloyd Price's tune that belies the seriousness of the lyrics; you'll be dancing in the aisles over this one! The harmonica works well for this number and the brass is used to great advantage while The Buckinghams again harmonize wonderfully.
"I'll Go Crazy" has complicated tempo changes ... Read More:

I bought the album after seeing the stage show, "Jersey Boys". My wife and I loved the show, and wanted to experience the the good feelings of the period when the group was one of our favorites!
Release Date February 02, 1999
As others have already pointed out (a long time ago, but it bears repeating), a great mix!
Only disappointment on the disk is the Nothing in The World cut by The Kinks, with it's vocals driven into clipping at a few points. Ironically, cheaper sound systems actually sound worse as they struggle to deal with this issue. A very minor point to be sure, and I assume it came from the original tracks like that, because the rest of the album sounds great.
I've always liked the one-hit wonder Concrete & Clay by Unit 4+2. If you do too, I'd suggest not trying too hard to find anything else by them. If you do manage to find one of their albums, be open-minded because apparently whoever wrote Concrete & Clay left the room leaving the rest ... Read More:

I don't know how well it translated to the rest of the country, but if you grew up like I did near the beaches of Southern California in the early 60's you probably owned (or like me had a sibling that owned) "The Ventures Knock Me Out!" Along with other great instrumentalist like the Surfaries, The Ventures made a valuable addition to the Surf Music of The Beach Boys, and Jan and Dean etc. that made up a lot of the soundtrack of my childhood.
So here's the deal...
This is really good background music for a road trip, or reliving some great memories.
Long live the "Endless Summer!"
Release Date March 26, 1991
"Sinatra Reprise" focuses on the singer's best work from 1960 to 1979 - combining the integral singles ("Summer Wind," "That's Life" and "My Way") with classic performances of "Fly Me to the Moon," "The Best Is Yet to Come" and "It Was a Very Good Year." Along the way are memorable live versions of "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "The Lady Is a Tramp." Of course, the show-stoppers remain "Luck Be a Lady" and a triumphant "New York, New York." Though no match for the glorious Capitol era, this 20-track Reprise compilation holds up quite nicely.
