Amazon indicates 25 tracks available on the product overview page, but they don't tell you that you get only 22 when you download the album. After you've downloaded it and discover the discrepancy you have to listen to some customer service tech in India tell you a hundred times that there are only 22 tracks, and then you have to take them to the product overview page, tell them to scroll down to the 'preview' link, then to the 'see all 25 tracks' link before they'll actually believe that you're telling the truth. But they'll STILL try to tell you 'if you click the link for the download you'll see only 22 tracks'. I finally got a #3.95 credit out of the tech that worked on me, but bottom line, WHY offer only 22 of 25 tracks for download?? Had ... Read More:

Billboard Top Rock & Roll Hits: 1968 is yet another low priced CD that gives us great rock and roll hits from 1968. The sound quality is great and the artwork is as good as all the others in this CD series.
Archie Bell & The Drells start off the track list with their hit entitled "Tighten Up." This peppy number benefits from great horns, singing and percussion. Archie Bell & The Drells perform "Tighten Up" to perfection and they handle the tempo changes like the pros that they always were!
Listen also for "Judy In Disguise (With Glasses)." This psychedelic rock tune has some great music and John Fred & His Playboy Band do this one up right! John Fred sings this to perfection and it's a great tune for listening ... Read More:

I love the standards and am delighted when rockers of my generation also love them. I have the whole series of Stewart's standards albums and they are great. The perfect music for a stressful ride home from work.

A search in Music under the heading Ultimate Collection will garner you over 2,000 hits, ranging from Benny Hill and George Formby to 10cc and The Who, and just about everyone in between. Even Motown uses Ultimate Collection on a number of their CDs, but the best of the lot where they are concerned is the series with similar cover art by David Irvin and involving Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Marvelettes, Martha (Reeves) & The Vandellas, Jr. Walker & The All Stars, Gladys Knight & The Pips, and Mary Wells. Each has a comprehensive series of background notes and discographies of the contents and usually 25 tracks.
This one, also from Motown, is not part of that series, but ... Read More:

I bought the original "Let It Be--Naked" as a teenager in 1969: a vinyl LP bootlegged from the "Let It Be" sessions, in a plain white sleeve with the words "Kum Back" stamped in smudgy blue ink aslant the cover. No masses of sobbing violins, no plaintive French horns.
And what struck me with increasing happy force across the years and dozens of listens was what a wonderful, wondrous live band the Beatles were: by this time, they truly were the other side of each others' heartbeat. Each had certainly become virtuosic in his own right-- Ringo on drums, McCartney on bass (one can't praise enough), Lennon on rhythm and Harrison (usually) on lead guitar, but virtuosos together, grown of what it took to make Beatles music together through all those years ... This CD is a must for any person genuinely interested in music from the 1960's. The songs have not aged at all, if anything they sound as great today as when they were they were first released. This is not surprising given that Petula never failed to deliver. Petula's songs have stood the test of time, and this often cannot be said for many singers. There is no doubt that the writing skills of Tony Hatch and his superb orchestra contributed greatly to the success of Petula, but at the end of the day they were a perfect match. Don't miss out on this collection. The Ultimate Petula Clark

Like many others, Dionne Warwick's first few recordings were her best. I particular like "Anyone who has a heart". The new cover of that by Shelby Lynne is different but also worth listening to. Some of Dionne Warrick's (her real name) newer ones are OK too. It's too bad she sued Burt Bacharach; they were a great team.

This is the greatest duet record of all time. This will stay in your collection Forever. Beautiful, Just simply beautiful.

The reason I gave this 3 CD Set 4 stars instead of 5? These recordings
were made before 'Stereo' came along. But, the engineers did a great job
of transfering (Re-mastering?) the songs to CD, and they sound very good.
Seventy-five classics by the greatest crooner of the 20th century.
Interested in 'Sinatra in Stereo'? You might also buy "The Reprise
Collection"-- it's ALL in stereo. Buy both-- you'll be glad you did.

Ah, "Face to Face." Ah, The Kinks. Where do you even begin to find the words that attempt to do justice to the music that The Kinks produced from 1966-1971? I'm more passionate about their music from this period than I am about any other, so I've just got to try.
Anyone who's reading this probably has a love of their work, therefore a good knowledge of the music; where the great stuff began and where it ended, so we all know that this is where it truly began. Ray Davies was beginning to populate his song writing world with characters who would resurface on other albums and singles (No, not by name, but you knew who they were from the lyrical content), while others did not. He has a complex mind ("No one can penetrate me, they only see what's in their own fancy") which ... Read More:
