First the Eco-Friendly package is a great idea, it should be done for all
CD's and DVD's. The CD itself wonderful collection of number one hits,
it took me back to my childhood and preteen. Everyone I played this for
loved it.(work) I downloaded it to my Ipod, I've told all my friends
and family where to get a copy. The sound is like being at a concert.

I have always been a fan of the Righteous Brothers music. I bought this cd for a friend who is currently stationed in Iraq. He, also, loves their music, and I wanted to do something for his birthday. I will get this cd to him, so that he might have a little taste of home while he is deployed to Iraq. Good music transcends time, it is eternal, and this cd will only ensure that the tradition goes on. Music is universal, and the Righteous Brothers music is fabulous. I gave this product 5 stars......indicating my satisfaction level with my purchase. Pray for our troops, may God bless and keep them all!

This excellent album contains eighteen songs that were popular during the WW2 years. The album starts with that well-known hit Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (performed by The Andrews Sisters), and then moves between jazzy hits (such as G.I. Jive and Yours). I really enjoyed hearing again some of the songs that used to be so close to my father's heart, including Long Ago (And Far Away) and The White Cliffs of Dover.

I must say that I found this to be a very good album. I miss my GI father, who passed away a year ago, and I felt like I captured a little piece of him when I listened to the music he loved all those years ago. This is easily my go-to soundtrack, it's lifted me out of many a crappy mood and I've listened to it endlessly over the years. It features a variety of songs, classic and contemporary, that are evocative of France and each one is special.

On the classic side you have Ella Fiztgerald and her amazing voice on "I love Paris". There's Louis Armstrong, his rendition of La Vie En Rose is second only to his "Wonderful World" for simple, easy elegance, and the amazing Charles Trenant (who also wrote La Mer) give us Verlain.

On the contemporary side there's Van Morrison, the under-appreciated (in America anyway) Zuchero, and Kevin Kline with his theater background in the Pirates of Penzance and other musicals steps up the plate again with ... Read More:
