I was like what 13. And i remember my mom putting in this CD, and hearing Boomin system. Its amazing. I mean you will probably not find an album like this. Maybe better, but not similar, meaning its so unique that the probability of you finding an album as good as this, about the same thing is 1 and 100000000000000000. Just Like Gil Scott-Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" Album, these two albums captured the new emotions of the Black community during a time of change. It capture the change in this country for White Women, White folks in the way they think, the Black communities, now known today as African-American communities, across America, and it captures young individuals trying to make a differences within their own community.

This album was released 6 years later after Hello Nasty. The lead single is Ch-Check it out. Triple Trouble was the 2nd single. Those two songs are their typicaly songs they did in the past. Some songs like We Got The Power is about voting a new president in. One of the members from Run DMC has a few lines on this album. It Takes Time To Build is about rebuilind New York city from 9/11 attacks. This album goes back to the old school years in the 1980's. No guitars or drums, just the dj using sound samples and their voices

This is not a review of Mr. Gil Scott-Heron's work or legacy. I am a believer and own many of his albums on either vinyl or (yes I'm serious) 8 Track. I specifically bought this compilation on CD to finally have a clean sounding, easy-to-play format.

The problem with this CD is that the audio is transferred to the CD at a very, very low volume. Much lower than any of my LPs or carts. At first I thought I received a bad CD and promptly exchanged it. The second one was as bad as the first.

For perspective, an average CD, LP or even 8 Track on my system is decently loud at -27 dB to -19 dB. Rarely do I turn my system up past -15 dB - and I like my music LOUD. This recording has to be turned up to -6 dB before it sounds reasonably listenable. ... Read More:

Raw Greatest Hits is pretty good. It has a lot of my favorite superstars music on there, like Kane, Triple H, Batista. But I think they could have put more songs on there, like Jeff Hardy's old theme, he's my favorite wrestler and I really miss his old theme, personally I think his new theme sucks. But over all it's pretty good. It seemed to focus on the more older people then the newer ones. Other then that it's still pretty good. 4 out of 5 stars!
