Glitch electronica is so often one of those rare and criminally underrated things; that is, of course, when it's done correctly. The Faint have opened up a barrage of problems on their latest LP, Fasciinatiion. One is that they don't really know what they want to do; all the songs are very glitch-heavy, with blips and bleeps like you wouldn't believe, but at the same time they introduce an electric guitar and hip-hop elements. Experimentation is great, but it doesn't go with anything they've put out here. By all, I mean me and my two kids. I am 66 and first purchase was Be Bop A Lula by Gene Vincent and that is a good enough measure of me, my daughter is 35 and still enjoys the Doors, my son is 24 and Mark E. Smith's The Fall is the best band in the world - whatever its personnel consists of at any given time. I tell you this because if Sawdust is acceptable to the three of us it should go down well with the majority. Most of all, the band members are a tight team rather each performing a little bit apart from the rest. Distinctive enough to stand out from the here today, gone tonight rubbish ensembles - the CD is well worth my money.

Duran-Duran is the greatest!!! This cd is magnificent!! I thought I'd heard most of their songs, yet I found a few on here I had no idea of.

I really love "Serious"...such a relaxing song. Also "Skin Trade" rawks. And of course the old classics "Rio", "View to a Kill" and "Save a Prayer" are fitting for any occasion.

Definately an needed add to any D-D fan or avid 80's music fan such as myself!

Duran-Duran is the greatest!!! This cd is magnificent!! I thought I'd heard most of their songs, yet I found a few on here I had no idea of.

There is 13 video clips on this CD/DVD. For example Hot in the City, Rebel yell, Dancing with myself and so on. The video quality on a few of the clips could be better. But I put this down to time when they were recorded back in the early 1980s.
The DVD format is NTSC not PAL, this may or may not be a problem. Other then that there is a good number of his songs on this best of collection.

I am a casual fan of the duo. I started looking for a compilation of their greatest hits and came upon "The Very Best Of Daryl Hall & John Oates". I thought great. Then I started looking at the tracks for my all time favorite "She's Gone". It was no where to be found on this compiliation. What? Are you kidding me; no "She's Gone" on "The Very Best of Daryl and John Oates". That song is arguably their greatest hit. Omitting it from the collection is a major infraction. As such this compiliation is not worth two cents to me.

Sam's Town

I've owned this album for so long now and it still finds its way into my CD player all the time.
"Sam's Town" is really underrated. The Killers have definitely shown growth from their first record on to this one. Lyrically, this album has so much to offer and is quite thought-provoking.
The album is built around "When You Were Young," "Bones," "Bling" and "This River Is Wild." - Four amazing songs. The rest of the record is almost equally good with a complete lack of filler songs.
I REALLY reccomend this album. If you don't own it, please give it a try :)

First of all, I own the VHS of Live After Death. They put on one heck of a monster show, one can not expect anything less of Iron Maiden. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sound quality is something to be desired. But of course I do own the "original" release. I do not know what the soud quaility is of the CD version. But, all in all, this sould definatly be a part of any Maiden fan collection. UP THE IRONS!

Many people assume that Def Leppard is heavy metal and so do not try them. However this album and Hysteria are must haves for any music enthusiast. The songs are well crafted and with a lot of attention to production.
Once again Mobile Fidelity has done a fine job of bringing out the best from the original recording without resorting to compression or other nasties. The bass is deep and strong, vocals are very clear and every instrument can be heard. A must for audiophiles that like to rock!
