A lot of reviewer's totally missed the point of this album. Yes, it's more rock and guitar oriented than his first two albums, but that's the point. As Ulrich Schnauss's electronic albums have always been heavily influenced by bands like My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Chapterhouse, Ride, Lush and The Cocteau Twins, this time he pays literal homage to the genre by basically recreating a rock album electronically. The results are layer upon layer of sound, that for some will take a while to fully emerge. Give this album a chance, and you will see the depth of its beauty. IMO, Ulrich can do no wrong. Also check out the excellent remixes he has done for other artists.

This is a strange CD in that all you do is listen while you are working. Come to think of it, that is what I do with most CDs, but this is different. It really does help you focus all of your attention onto what you are doing in the present moment. Don't listen to it if you want to go to sleep!

This early work of original compositions and traditional songs with accompaniment by Celtic harp is truly beautiful and a must have for all lovers of Loreena's music. Her original songs are so haunting and atmospheric they take you away to a moonlight place. This is every bit as good as her later work, if not better.

Did you know that listening to drums boosts your immunity? (Scientifically Proven) I bought this CD wanting to listen to some drums. Here the drums are in the background keeping beat, are drowned out by a multitude of other instruments and sounds, or they are competing with a flute. It sounds like there's even a keyboard and an electric guitar.

You may want to keep in mind that I wanted to hear drums and would have been completely satisfied if there were no other instruments at all.

The tracks feel chaotic and noisey. The best way to desribe it is this: In Beethoven's 5th (da da da DA) there are a multitude of instruments working together to say the same thing, or take you to the same place, throughout the masterpeice. On ... Read More:
