It was great to hear the Tracy Lawrence was coming back. It was equally as nice to hear a little of his old stuff, but wished the cd had more new songs. Tracy sounds as good as ever with his rich voice, and true country style. There is no mistaking he is country. I hope he enjoys his come back and does some touring this year.

Ok if you like Alan Jackson then you might not need to get just the hits. But it is a great listen it has all his hits. What do you say about a Hits album, I mean it is HITS, not like its a B-sides or lost recordings. HITS are what people know and are familar with.

if you like a beautiful voice, great melodies and smart lyrics and hooks, this is the one. their "music for all occasions" is every bit as good. these guys should have been huge. great in concert, too. great dance music, 2 step, cha cha, waltz, killer version of springsteen's "all that heaven will allow". great heartache and love songs. what more can i say?

This is the only Garth Brooks still in my collection, and it's still pretty good and quite listenable. Garth is no Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, or Merle Haggard, but on this album, he manages to make a very good country album. Most modern country stars are slick and over packaged, but Garth never felt like that. One of my favorite songs on this album is New Way to Fly. It's one of Garth's most beautiful, moving songs (he also co-wrote it), and that song has the soul and depth that old country music always seems to find. As for the other songs, if you're not singing along to Friends in Low Places, you're an uptight sod. The song Unanswered Prayers is actually pretty good. Its lyric and message is quite moving. Honkytonk University has some of the best Toby Keith songs ever written. There is just something about Honkytonk U that hits the heart. Each and every song makes a connection, whether it be a tearful goodbye or a cheerful boot out the back door, and each time I listen to it the familiar emotions it stirs are always there.

I became a Toby Keith fan because I've felt like he writes from the soul on so many of his songs, and this CD is just another testament to that truth.
