One of the best CD's I have ever bought. I am a big Joe fan and he did not disappoint with this CD. Almost every track is smooth and seductive. This is definitely a CD that would want to listen to when you are with your lady or special guy. I recommend "And Then" to all of the lovers out there.

This will be my third copy of this CD since it was released in 1193. I honestly can not listen to every CD I have all the way through. This CD also hold special memories because it came out the year I graduated college and was living in a barely empty two-bedroom apartment. All I played on my stereo was this.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. He did get on some R. Kelly ish. Not sure why. But I only own the first three CDs. I had to stop when he hooked up with N Sync. Maybe it was a crossover ploy. None of his initial single releases since then have garnered any interest in buying the CD upon release.

Maybe Joe is the Common of R&B. Simple but just unappreciated...right now.

While I understand the dismay of some to remixing any of Bob's songs, I think this album is so beautifully done that it transcends most objections. Any work that brings Bob's timeless music to a new generation is definitely a good thing, and I'm not a rap fan. My two favorites here are Turn Your LIghts Down Low, and Johnny Was, two of the best songs ever written, in my opinion. I think this album is a great introduction, and if you're already a Bob Marley fan (and who isn't?) be sure to check out the original tracks also. Just a word of warning, though...his music is addictive, I have some on pretty much all the time.

The compositions often feature chord structures usually associated with Jazz music and good music, but this time we have a album with a difference - real soul and beautiful compositions. Is it new? I think is a masterpiece, in especial way - Still a friend of mine - unique.

i guess i need to give this one a real listen, but i've had it since it came out and i'm not that crazy about it. a few good tracks and nice beats, but i just can't get into it.

If you like neo soul youll enjoy this CD. I find that so many artists in this genre are ahead of their time. Chico Debarge is one of them. This came out before people really got into the whole "neo soul era". I used to have it on tape!!! The songs range from mellow and sexy to make em dance! I cant think of 1 I dont like and the bonus track No Guarantee w/Jo is my personal fave. Dont sleep get this CD!
