If you like neo soul youll enjoy this CD. I find that so many artists in this genre are ahead of their time. Chico Debarge is one of them. This came out before people really got into the whole "neo soul era". I used to have it on tape!!! The songs range from mellow and sexy to make em dance! I cant think of 1 I dont like and the bonus track No Guarantee w/Jo is my personal fave. Dont sleep get this CD!

I really dig Miss Badu. When this album was released I was very excited and liked it very much from the first listen. Track one is a bit gutsier than her usual smooth sound, but Eryka explores all human emotions and this song kicks. The lyrics on this recording show a maturity I hope continues to grow. This is a very creative artist that stays close to the soul/r&b tradition but manages to push the envelope with emotion and creativity. The self titled first disc is good too and the live album is as well, but buy the latter one for the playful track "Tyrone". If you're into soulful but modern female r&b stuff, and like introspective but open delivery of lyrical ideas then this girl's the one. I'd like to see more recordings from this ... Read More:

What these guys did in such a short span for R&B lovers hopfully will not be lost to history. Compared to the lackluster, whimpy, whiney, non-dancable, non-singing crap that they try to call Neo-soul today, these guys were a blast of fresh air....

I love this cd. Almost from start to finish. When Olivia Foxx was on the Russ Parr show, she said that the singles that Tweet put out did not reflect the quality of the cd. She was right!! Obviously those songs were to grab a certain bunch or whatever but if it wasn't for Olivia, I probably wouldn't have checked it out.

Fav songs include Smoking Cigarettes, Best Friend, Complain,Beautiful (oh so sweet), and Motel (which is teh song I sing to my boyfriend when he makes me mad. he hates it!)

If you get this cd, you will not be disappointed. Just skip over Call Me and Oops.

Get Along With You

Kelis' "Get Along With You" was one of my favorites when I heard it on the Greatest Hits comp released earlier this year, and I was ecstatic when I found out it recieved the Morales treatment on this single. David Morales really pulled out a great mix here, with all the right elements - housey drums, excellent rhodes and pads, and just the perfect amount of vocal tricks (the looped "you took my heartbeat from me"). My other favorite is the Bump & Flex Radio Edit, which is a really cool nujazz vibe. The Soul Inside mix is a bit stale.
