If it takes another 4 years for Rachael Yamagata to make another album, I will be ok with it. After listening to this album, I can agree with the reviewer who gave the album one star regarding the tempos. But, in the context of the album, putting a song like "1963" or "I Want You" from Happenstance wouldn't fit the mood. This album is a much more complete album vs Happenstance. Her first album has great pop tunes with some deep tracks. But, Elephants...Teeth Sinking into Heart is all deep. The album will emotionally drain you if you let it. It's lush orchestrations, arrangements and beautiful melodies counter the dark, melancholy tone of the lyrics. If Happenstance was about the excitement love has to offer, Elephants...Teeth Sinking into Heart ... Read More:

While critics will debate forever the impact of Journey on the world of music, for us fans, there IS no debate...the band rocks and we love 'em and their music--for the most part--will be timeless. I've been in radio for the better part of 20 years now, and I cannot remember a time when I did not receive regular requests for Journey, both then and now. Why? I suppose every person must ask themselves why Journey *works* for you, but for me? I just love a song with a great hook, and Journey is definitely in no short supply of those.
I have noticed that even some Fans have been critical of why some songs were included why others were omitted...and for the most part, I agree--but we have to temper that with the fact that Journey more than ... Read More:

Filled with soothing and relaxing tunes. He will always be in my top ten of singer-songwriters...with his beautiful voice. However, there is a sameness to his music....one of the reasons I follow a new emerging SS Arrica Rose who truly takes risks in her latest album, La La Lost with a variety a musical styles...lyrics that are quirky but with depth and insight...each song... more powerful than the other.

I must say that it is so very obvious that the Orbison family put A LOT of time and effort into this box set. Everything about it is exceptional. I don't think Roy would have had or wanted it any other way. Although all of the musical content is nothing short of fulfilling, it is the booklet inside that will urge me to tell every Orbison fan to go out now, and get this set. Even the art behind the wording of the booklet was thought out well.
I learned much more about the life of Roy from the Booklet. Also, the opening letter from Barbara was touching. It is always nice to hear from the people who were with Roy on a day to day basis.
The only thing that could have made this box set even better would be if Roy himself, ... Read More:

I loved Jem's last CD, this seems like a different person almost. I listened to the samples, but when i actually received the CD i wished i hadn't. I'll probably only listen to it the 2 times that I have already and add it to a stack never to be heard from again. Very disappointed.

I LOVE this CD= makes me feel like drinking with a bunch of rowdy rednecks, which is the best! He writes almost all of his own music and his co-writer Rob Hatch is great guy as well. I knew him from his old Gainesville "Gator" days. You'll love this CD is you rock out to Jennings & Jones!

I have been a staind fan from back in the late 90's. I loved dysfunction, tormented, and break the cycle. I think staind is going down hill. I dontknow if it is the lable or what. I understand Aaron Lewis loves his life now but his words use to be so intense and powerful. Like he was speaking my words. Now every song is the same song just a little different words. If you want to hear a good album listen to dysfunction the real fans understand.

The majority of my musical CD's/mp3's are hard rock (AC/DC,Earshot, Disturbed, etc.), classic rock, Progressive Rock (Dream Theater),top 40 country, or basically anything with a good beat. My 3 year old daughter and I kept hearing pocket full of sunshine on the radio and she would energetically hum and start dancing around every time this song came on. Now she knows most of the chorus. I decided to buy it for this very reason and once my wife and I gave it a total listen we were pretty impressed with it. #2 "Pocket full of Sunshine" is the most popular (so far) and with good reason. You can listen to this song any where and it fits. #5 "Piece of your Heart" is as good as the title track. What a groove from these 2 songs!!! #6 "Soulmate" is a very creative song written about ... It started very slowly but before we knew it, our family took a liking to TMBG music. We play it at home and in the car. We had a party and they all the adults were singing along!
Alongside my daughter, my husband and I are also learning. For one, Y is a vowel. Who knew??
