A friend of mine mentioned Repo! The Genetic Opera to me a few months ago. I blew him off at the time - after all, I can be a bit of a music snob, and I've never been a fan of the saw movies, so how could a musical directed by DLB possibly be any good?
dear God was I ever wrong
for quite some time now, I've been a fan of rock operas and the like, and Repo! really takes the cake for me. The songs range from slow and emotional, in "Didn't know I'd love you so much" to quick and punky (Zydrate Anatomy) to outright ridiculous (Mark it Up). All in all, the music is quirky, modern, industrial, and possessing of a tang all its own. 5 stars, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to expand their musical horizons or library. ... Amy MacDonald's newest CD "This is the Life" is an creative, self expressive album that mixes various genres to develop a unique sound that is folk, mixed with rock and then mixed with up-beat welch vocals. Her writing style is "catchy" and holds you tight from one song to the next. The tracks are laid down to where you enter into a releam where each song takes you through one door after another door while giving you one journey after another journey. In basic terms once you start listening to this CD you will get lost into the most amazing music experience. This is a must have CD for any music lover who is tired of having Top 40 muzak being shoved down the throats of true music lovers.

After seeing her cell phone commercial, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this disc!! Like the commercial, "Carnival Ride" is sedate and charming; tuneful yet spacey; fun yet getting there by tour bus. In short, I don't know what gadget this chick was playing with, but it kind of tripped my trigger!!
Musically, "Carnival Ride" is fairly adventurous in an "American Idol" meets Motown meets "Saturday Night Live" sort of way. Underwood's much ballyhooed direction toward country-western rock music is both exhilarating and bizarre, as if Minnie Mouse were branching out to speed metal. Catchin' my drift???
By the way, if you haven't seen School of Rock (Widescreen Edition), go see it pronto!! Jack White's performance is unreal!!!!

I do believe that this product is well worth the money it costs. I only purchased it to use the test patterns. To figure out how to use them, you have to go through rather long and boring sections of the video. They should probably sell a disk with just the test patterns and a pamphlet on how to use them. I would have paid more to not go through the other stuff on the disk.

This cd was entirely better than their first one. Alot of catchy tracks. Yet after watching how horribly Nicole "really" does sing...it kind of turned me off. If you watch any of her performances on youtube...she sucks at all of them...she cant hit any note right on...ugh!!!! but as for the cd...it's a pretty good pop cd....with all the fixing of the computer generated voices ha.

I still remember when their self titled album came out. That one to me was a great album. Although there were some weaker songs towards the end, they were still pretty good. I must admit I never gave Time bomb or 15 their proper listens. Something I regret with Time bomb. After listening to them again recently I wish I have given Time bomb more of a listen. I have to say that I was disappointed in 15. It seemed to go in a softer direction, and the songwritting wasn't as strong, although I did like the little bit of experamenting they did. That leads me to this one.
In some ways I'm impressed and others not so much. It kind of has a same old buckcherry sound; which felt a bit stale at first. After more listens this didn't bother me anymore. Buckcherry ... Read More:

Just listened (twice) to the album I got a hold of after hearing a cut on RadioParadise.com, and IT'S FANTASTIC! A real mix of synthesized, reggae/world beat, and one song has a bit of jazz to it. All bring joy to my spirit. Just great listening.
I've only listened to a bit of TC before, 2 or 3 CD's. Couple really great songs, but overall nothing I'd plunk out my hard earned money for...until now. I'm on Amazon ordering my own copy of the CD, so I can have the best quality AND let TC know...this is what I like!
I'm going back to see if I've missed some other really great TC, as one reviewer suggests.

All in all a good CD. The addition of all of the special guest musicians on some of the old songs really gave it a nice flair. The newer music was good as well. Would recommend to any Little Feat Fan.

Hey it's really beyond me how five of the lowest class crocks from Grave Britain can turn into muzak icons. In 1964 they jumped around a tidbit and they shook their greasy hairs but these antics dont make a good music. They are filthy poseurs without any form of talent whatsoever. I'd rather listen to Andreew Ridgeley of Wham team up with Barry Manilow for some good rock!! You must be spoilt fools to believe that this crappy CD is worth more than a stifled laugh. Get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
