What can I say - I like SRV. I can hear the influence of Jimmy Hendricks: Hendricks is just a bit too radical for me. If you like Texas style influences {nothing to do with politics] I think you'll rest easy and enjoy this DVD.

Ms. Tedeschi has a sweet soulful sound with an undertow, so watch out. It will suck you in and take you down. The kind of gospel that will make you say "Sweet Jesus, I didn't know it could be like this". As a matter of fact, I'll be singing Protect My Child on Sunday in the Sanctuary. JK! There is enough here to satisfy boys and girls and help them satisfy each other.

Every song tells a story...and every instrument comes through beautifully in each song! Such clarity..the voices! This is now my mellow out CD. It encourages me (and will encourage you too) makes you smile and will humble you. Keep It Simple is a wonderful addition to any collector who likes down home classic blues music or just introduced to it like me! I must ask: KEB'MO PLEASE DO A INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF THIS CD..I would love to have it in my collection too!
Thanks. A new fan...T.

I came across this by accident while searching for another band. Twenty nine tracks, and at least 27 are brilliant. Everyone in my family loves this album. What a lineup of stars! (and NO kid rock, no rappers!) Tastefully Done!
Release Date March 23, 1999
This may be my all time favorite album, at least in the top 3. It's the one you'd chose to have it stranded on that desert island. It's perfect-what more can be said. Stevie was just hitting his peak-only the angels know what more outstanding stuff he could have blessed us with had he lived.
Stevie's own words say it best-
" Life without you....all the love you passed my way
The angels have waited for so long....now they have their way
Take your place...."

A great box set of of blues from the man who was before Jimi, before Stevie and before Eric. I should have been listening to Buddy long ago. Three solid discs of tunes and a snappy DVD with a great mix of interview and concert video. Includes a sizeable booklet of Buddy Guy history along with the CD tracks and players. I love this set and I have nothing negative to say about it. A must have!

"My Blueberry Nights" is a strong soundtrack collection. Norah Jones who stars in the film wrote the song "The Story" on set, which was included in the film. She sings, "I don't know how to begin because the story has been told before; I will sing along, I suppose it's just how it goes." Director Kar Wai explains in the liner notes that he went to music stores and bought CDs that were played on the stereo on cross country trips which scouted locations for the film. He loved Cat Power's CD The Greatest and included that title track and "Living Proof" from the CD on the soundtrack. Cassandra Wilson's recording of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" was another track that he put together with a slide show from the road trips to help Norah Young get a feel for the film's content. ... BB King had already recorded over 300 songs when this album was recorded. Prime arrangements of some standards and a few lesser known tunes. If you've never seen him live, this is close to it.

This is a true texas blues icon coming into his form live and loose. It is a must have. Although not the greatest sound quality - it was only 35 years ago or so... It is still better than a lot of stuff put out today if you can believe it. And the songs are all covers except mean town blues, but still anything Johnny Winter has ever done is great. Compare it with todays music. Could anyone ever come out and release a live album of with 6 covers and become a legend from it? I do not think so. BUT, if you have the talent and the guitar licks that make you stand out, yes, the cream does usually rise to the top. The "And" is all about a dude named RICK DERRINGER playing 2nd guitar in the band. Yes, nice right hand man to have on your side... Jumpin' Jack Flash is a classic that ... Read More:
