I'm a first time mom and have had trouble finding classes in my area, so I purchased all three of the Laugh and Learn DVDs. I watched the breastfeeding DVD for the first time today, and was very satisfied with it. I had read reviews that Sheri Bayles is annoying and the film quality is poor, so I was a bit wary. Luckily I found that I really enjoyed the video, and thought that Sheri portrayed herself very well - I would love to be in an actual class with her! I didn't think her humor was hilarious, but it didn't seem like she was trying hard to be funny and entertaining either - she came across as genuine and simply being herself while sharing real-life experiences.

I've been trying to learn on and off for a few months now and I would say this was a great place to begin looking. This DVD was very helpful and it goes along with a booklet you receive which makes tremendously easy to follow. You learn a lot of basic aspects of guitar playing (rhythm, strumming, finger picking etc.) You can certainly play a few songs by the end of this DVD.

You should try it at your own pace and refer back to the DVD for guidance. I'd recommend it!

I will say this I'm Hispanic so I did know some Salsa before I purchased this DVD. I wanted to learn some advanced moves and I realized before I purchased this video that prob wasn't for me. It wasn't but it did teach me some basic concepts in general. It also taught me how to turn. I'm a natural dancer but it gave me concrete steps which I just do without thinking. That being said I do believe this will teach ANYBODY to dance. He gives so much detail and repetition there is no way you won't be able to pick it up. I love the hand tricks. Also I didn't have a partner and this a partner video. Don't buy if you have dance experience.

I suppose my review of this album will be seen as the equivalent to a drop of water in the Atlantic Ocean, but I feel I have to express my opinion on it since it is obviously so contrary to virtually everyone else's.

Sorry folks, but I don't get it. I am positively baffled as to what people hear in this band that is so wonderful. And, yes, they DO sound like Rush. I bought this album based on the 5 star rating I saw at Amazon. I had never heard a song from them before that I knew of, nor had I heard anyone compare them to Rush before. I had seen them mentioned in Rolling Stone ad nauseum (that should have been my first warning) and decided to check them out. I tried many CDs as I weaned myself off of sleep aids during a very difficult year. A lot of them had lovely music, some had delta and theta wave-stimulating tones underneath... but almost all of them had annoying variances in tone/volume. Music would crescendo and pull me back out of the dream-state I had just finally entered. This was the only CD I could sleep through the night with. I kept it on "Repeat" and listened to it every night for several months until my sleep patterns were restored. Later, I used it with my colicky baby, and have since given several copies to friends to try. It may not work for everyone, but it definitely worked for me.
