I was looking forward to hearing Miri play hip-hop, but what I mostly heard was a lot of other hip-hop artists, with Miri somewhere in the background. I want my money back, or an album where Miri is actually the featured player. I did like what I heard her play, but I had to strain to hear it, and she wasn't really taking the lead on anything. If she's going to be playing with such a loud gang, maybe she should at least get an electric violin so we can hear her; and if she's not going to take the lead, maybe she should be billed, at best, as a collaborator, so people aren't mislead into buying something they aren't getting.

Sarah Brightman has developed her talent for singing in a grand way. Her video performance is equally great.

She will never probably have any idea how many nights she has sung me to sleep ;).

I look for a performance and a live concert to come near me soon.

I would like to see her, however, embrace the more artistic and less of the skimpy clothing side.

There is a delicate line between flash, art, and trash, and some footage and photos of her cross the line with me.

Nude and semi-nude do not mix with song and expression. Sorry, dear, my beloved Sarah, but I am only in this for your singing talent, not to be made to long for your bod in my arms.

Authentic Israeli Folk Songs and Dances

Hava Nagila was about the only good song on this CD in my opinion. Most of the tracks are music tracks that sound very much like the one before it. I guess that's okay if that is what you were looking for, but I was hoping for more songs with words. I played it once and tossed it in a storage box (my garage sale box).

I was totally turned off by the preview of the first song "Simarik" which is an absolute ripp-off of Australian Holly Valance's first smash hit "Kiss Kiss". All that's changed is the language and the addition of some Middle-Eastern instruments. Beat pattern, speed, melody, style are all essentially still the same. And... Not a credit or mention anywhere!

Makes me seriously wonder about a few of these other pieces that sound familiar...

The exquisite spiritual beauty and true loving instrumental/vocal mastery of this work is a collector's item - one of the best in Persian music. For me, it reflects the timeless grace and delight of Persian art and culture. I can easily listen to this CD again and again.

Want a world tour in about an hour? Take a trip with Ozomatli and don't even worry about getting your luggage lost--and don't take off your shoes. You are going to want to dance. This LA-based Latino group's really hit their stride with their third CD. If you like Carlos Santana and or War, you're going to love this group. Their messages of racial unity and peace are great and there's not a downbeat song on this CD.

"Love and Hope" is the song I first heard from Ozo, but it came from a local radio station (KGSR-Austin Broadcast CD). I've since picked up "Street Signs" and plan to keep getting as much of Ozo I can.
