From the fist few notes of Om Namo Bhagavate, I immediatly fell in love with Devas' music. Her voice is heavenly and no matter how my day has been or where I am in life, when I play this cd I instantly feel at peace. If you want a beautiful cd to relax to and that truely helps center you, mind, body, and soul.... then I would highly recommend this cd as well as all of her others.

Pure spacy, cosmic, stoic, yet richly felt sound...that is the best way to describe Phaedra. The year was '74, and TD was still imersed in the concept of delivering a wall of concentric, parallel, conflicting, yet coherent synth-oriented sounds. Don't look for melodies that you can whistle along with, or simple beats that you can dance to. This is a spacy trip through caverns and canyons between stars and galaxies. This is a soundtrack to a tangerine's dream. This is an audio vision described through synthesizers and electronic music that is unlike anything any other artist can offer. It's just a beautiful trip through pure spacy sound. If you like music that you need an imagination to appreciate, I very highly recommend this gorgeously ... Read More:

CHAKRA HEALING is Dean Evenson's very best yet. It does what I want it to do - it takes me on a musical journey through the chakras while still being very meditative. Each track proceeds naturally to the next and truly resonates with the chakra it relates to. It is great for meditation and yoga or healing work of any kind. It's wonderful for love making too! I have played it many times and never get tired of it. The flutes, guitar, cello harp and viola are all played perfectly. All in all it is absolutely yummy and I can't recommend it more highly.

Michael Hedges was a truly extraordinary player. He also personified New Age-y-ness in a good, real, and human way. If you put aside the stereotype, he was really working to live a good life in the way that he wanted to. I saw him play several times in Nashville and then in California, in the early 1990s. When he came to Stanford and played with Michael Manring, it was one of the best concerts of my life. He was in a great mood, energized, and absolutely blew the crowd away. Then there were quieter moments; for example he recited the Jabberwocky whilst walking, hunched down, with his elbows wrapped behind his knees and his hands also on the floor (playing a borogove?--see the cover of Road to Return). His covers, like Drive Me Crazy by Fine ... Read More:

When I first bought this CD, I had no idea how much I would come to really enjoy it. I force myself to avoid it all year until the leaves start to turn. Then, I listen to it several times a week through Thanksgiving. "Bygone Days" is an extremely relaxing tune, only outdone by the piano master himself, George Wintson, with "Thanksgiving." If you collect holiday-type music, this is a MUST HAVE for the fall season.

Wow, this artfully designed musical collection truly does what it says - the psychoacoustics technic really works! Carefully selected classical pieces and soft instrumentation make this an absolute delight to listen to.
However, what I originally purchased this for was to have some relaxing ambient background music to play while I'm working - and this definitely does NOT work - it's too relaxing! The songs are specifically ordered to be gradually slower and softer, and I can't get through half the songs before I want to take a nap. So for daytime ambience, I don't recommend it. If you're looking for a late-night wind-down or a cure for insomnia, I could not recommend it more highly. You'll be ready for sweet dreams in snoozeville by track 11, ... Read More:

Highly recommended!!!

This CD is okay for ocean sounds lovers, but I didn't care for the foghorn sounds or whales that come later in it. It's more of a Cape Cod type of sound that the Caribbean, which I prefer. I wanted JUST waves.

The calming chimes of ancient Tibet take you back to a time of simplicity, where there was clarity in simplicity. Just listening to the sounds of Tibetan wisdom transports you into another world, arguably a saner world - without traffic, machines, mechanisation. This simplicity is beautiful and magical at the same time. Highly recommended for people seeking quiet, or advanced meditators alike.

Toss Enigma, Delerium, and Deep Forrest into a pot.... mix it up.... and what you get is Mysteria. Great New Age albumb for anyone who likes any of the bands previously mentioned. Peaceful, but has a beat. I love it to get me thru the work day. Pop it in, and just hit repeat-all for 8 hours. I don't get tired of it, and there is not a single song on here that I don't love.
Amazon originally recommended this CD to me.... and I must admit, this is probably the best recommendation I have every received!
