While up late one night watching TBN they played 2 of Ray Boltz songs; "The Anchor Holds" and "Sent By The Father" and I have been hooked since! I had to hear more and purchased both DVD's and the CD---still looking for the Christmas concert. Ray's mission "to produce and perform music that allows listeners and audiences to see Jesus" has been accomplished in me; I have a deeper love for the Lord after viewing this awesome "review" of the Bible stories within it. I've even started seeking out a church home. If you want to be changed on the inside and need a push, you can start by listening to Ray Boltz music, especially "The Concert of A Lifetime" it details so much of God's love for us. Just like one of the other reviewers, it took me a minute to get into the cd as well. My favorites are #'s 1,2,4,8, and 10. I am teaching #'s 2,8, and 10 to my choir now. Our Women's Choir learned #4 last summer. The songs have sorta an "old school traditional" feel to them that can minister to older and younger members alike.

I loved it from start to finish! Martha has such an anointing over her voice that it resonates through each bar. I have turned ny entire church onto her and her songs and made them aware that hey this is LIVE!

I highly recommend this CD. It's some of the best recorded worship music I've heard. I kept discovering Spanish praise songs I loved, and they were mostly Marcos Witt, so I bought this album and LOVE it. I listen to it almost every day. If you like Hillsongs, but would like some Latin rhythm and Spanish in your praise and worship, THIS is the CD for you!

A lot of things can go wrong with a live DVD. Get an uncomfortable venue or undesirable performance date, and you're pretty much stuck with a subpar recording. Luckily, all of this has been avoided on Third Day's most recent live DVD.

I catch Third Day every time they make it to the Pacific Northwest, and they never disappoint. This tour was no exception. Most of the songs are taken from their Wire cd, although they bring a few classics out as well. How many times has "My Hope Is You" been presented to the public as a live recording? Not enough--it's always a welcome addition, in my book. I have especially enjoyed the more funky, up-tempo version of "Black Bird", which was previously doomed to obscurity on their self-titled debut cd. ... Read More:

This CD is at the top of the list of must have recordings. There is not a single weak song in this 1955 live recording from the Shrine Auditorium. A virtual who's who of gospel greats, this CD features Sam Cooke, Dorothy Love Coates, James Cleveland, Albertina Walker, Joe May, the Soul Stirrers and the Pilgrim Travelers. I defy anyone, anywhere to find a better single recording than Cooke's and the Soul Stirrer's "Nearer To Thee." I listened to it twelve straight times and was moved each time. Nothing Cooke ever did when he crossed over into the mainstream can touch this recording. But, wait.
