Minister Donnie McClurkin is a well-founded player in the Christian music game and one of the tonally dynamic male soloists to emerge in the past decade, with produce that both ranges of followers of traditional/modern gospel and the TBN crowd find appealing. He's worked with UK artists and musicians and even shown a liking towards the Caribbean flavour. But he definitely is a mature artist with a sound to appeal to mature Christians - you wont be sporting a backwards pointing baseball cap as far as his music is concerned.

When i first heard this cd, it was in my dad's car. I'm only 16 and i was immediately hooked. All the songs are wonderful. THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST GOSPEL CHOIR CD I HAVE EVER HEARD. There are many different types of songs from fast to slow, from old church to new church everything u would want. It also makes u feel as if u were at the concert because unlike other gospel choir cd's, it has an AMAZING 16 SONGS!!! IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF U NEED SONGS TO TEACH A CHOIR. THe other thing that hooked me were the variety of soloists on the cd from DOTTIE PEOPLES,KIRVY BROWN,JAMES HALL,MAURETTE BROWN-CLARK,KEITH "WONDERBOY" JOHNSON, TIMINEY FIGUEROA, TUNESHA CRISPELL, and about 20 more from his choir. While up late one night watching TBN they played 2 of Ray Boltz songs; "The Anchor Holds" and "Sent By The Father" and I have been hooked since! I had to hear more and purchased both DVD's and the CD---still looking for the Christmas concert. Ray's mission "to produce and perform music that allows listeners and audiences to see Jesus" has been accomplished in me; I have a deeper love for the Lord after viewing this awesome "review" of the Bible stories within it. I've even started seeking out a church home. If you want to be changed on the inside and need a push, you can start by listening to Ray Boltz music, especially "The Concert of A Lifetime" it details so much of God's love for us. You will be amazed at what you hear. God Bless You Too!!!

Yes The CD Has Too Many Applauding & Dialogue Like Almost Every Live Worship CD But, Take Each Song For It's True Content For What They Really Are "TRUE PRAISE & WORSHIP".

Apparently, no DVD is available of this performance. What a great loss! I would love to visualize the incredible music and see Larnelle as well as the "Brooklyn Tab". BTW, I don't see what's so "cringe-worthy" about being glad to be with such an awesome choir???

I have only heard Larnelle live once, at the White Memorial Medical Center church in Los Angeles back in the late '90's. Wish there were DVD's of Larnelle's concerts available.
