This is the most comprehensive collection of Moody Blues work I've ever seen. I was priviledged to watch the show live on our local PBS station and this collection has songs they didn't show. It's absolutely wonderful. A must-have for anyone who loves the Moody Blues.

The quintessential geezer album, Van `The Man' Morrison moonlights alongside Lonnie `Chewing Gum On the Bedpost' Donegan and brontosaurean trad-jazz trombonist Chris Barber on this revival set of retro-Limey chicken-picken folk songs. The sound quality is not the best, but for a live recording of that era, it might be as good or better than average. It isn't a large band, and all the instruments are clearly audible. The dynamics are a bit constrained, but nothing like the over-compressed pop music being released nowadays.

The music outweighs any concerns about sound quality. This is an incredible band. Metheny, Mays, Pastorius, Alias, Brecker -- how can one find complaint with this backup??? On Dry Cleaner From Des Moines, Michael Brecker tears up the stage! And Jaco drives the song with machine gun bass lines. My favorite Christmas album and one of my favorite JD albums. I have most all of them - his voice is beautiful and clear - my favorite track is 24 - Falling Leaves, but Christmas for Coyboys, and A Baby Just Like You are favorites as well. He does a terrific job with the Christmas carols. This is a perfect addition to any JD collection! John Denver at his absolute best!!

This 2CD trawls through what has survived of the 24 sessions that the Kinks recorded for the BBC between 1964 and 1977, providing an alternative view of the Kinks. Due to the time constraints and lack of overdubbing facilities, the results are probably far closer to their live sound of the times than the sound produced on their albums and singles.

On their early Pye studio recordings, session men such as Bobby Graham (drums), Jimmy Page (rhythm guitar) and Jon Lord (organ) were drafted in by Shel Talmy to flesh out the sound, but here are the band proving more than capable of cutting it live. Michael Crawford has the voice of an angel. I've listened to just about all of his recordings and love them. I enjoyed the comments made during this concert. I can't look at my coffee table without thinking of him and Gene Kelly dancing on one. The songs were a nice cross section showcasing his talent.

Jane took 20 years off before standing in front of a microphone to sing again and her 'Return' was worth the wait. She's SO superior to most female vocialists today that I never forgot about her or her talent. She's taken great care of her one-of-a-kind voice and her "pipes" are in pristine condition. Her choice of songs are still caberet-ish, if only she'd update the repertoire!

Recorded at the Royal Festival Hall London in 2002, this live performance led by Brian Wilson and The Wondermints is incredible. Beach Boy fans will never get to see the original Beach Boys perform Pet Sounds but the Wondermints do an incredible job. Brians voice has aged but still does a fine job on "Pet Sounds Live". Brian sounds really enthused and energized at this show. I have listened to this cd a few times already, and enjoy it each listen. "Pet Sounds" live gives the original studio release a new vibrant sound, "Pet Sounds Live" will make you appreciate what a landmark recording it is.
