I always thought this and On Every Street was all you need. but no, Dire Straits are great with all good albums til Alchemy and BBC. This is a terrific live recording from the On Every Street
world tour 1991-92 has a great live version of Heavy Fuel, Money
for Nothing, and Calling Elvis. I highly recommend you get this
along with Metallica Black Album, Foreigner 4, Nirvana Nevermind, and GNR Greatest Hits. DIRE STRAITS ROCK..
ps. this one is much better than Alchemy or BBC so get this
live recording today.

I bought this double-CD in the Amazon Marketplace a couple months ago, and it's been playing on my iPod nearly every day since then. I LOVE it. And I've been surprised to find myself liking the lesser-known songs best! In particular, "Summer Highland Falls" and "2000 Years" are wonderful. Both of them put you in that front-porch, rocking-chair, glass-of-lemonade-and-a-sunset kind of mood.

Amazon's reviewer does make some good points, though. Billy's chatter at the end of most tracks can get annoying, but I don't think it's a deal-breaker. And it's fixable, too. Alanis Unplugged

Alanis Unplugged is a very good audio cd of the live concert. This isn't a perfect cd but quite good. Great renditions of You Learn, Joining You, Head Over Feet, I Was Hoping, and Uninvited. There's a cover of Sting's classic, King of Pain and a couple of unreleased tracks. Alanis has a great and unique voice and her lyrics are complexed but straight to the point. Can't wait for her new cd, Flavors of Entanglement!

I spent $45 each to see this concert when Cher came to Houston. It was without a doubt the best $45 I have ever spent before or since. The concert was fantastic and Cher was beautiful and fun to watch. This CD is taken directly from one of these concerts. It sounds exactly like the concert I saw. She brings together music from her incredible 40 year career and every single one brought back memories. It is a shame that she will never tour again. Don't miss a chance to hear her concert. This is so worth whatever you spend on it. I own the CD and the DVD.

Elvis as Recorded at Madison Square Garden

I'm not a big fan of rock music, but "The King" is an exception, and this album is his greatest live concert (although it is similar to the Hawaii concert). This album has an electricity that is high voltage. Elvis first appears to the majestic fanfare from Richard Strauss's "Zaracusthra" and closes with a little "Blue Hawaii", followed by his theme music and the guy saying "Elvis has left the building". It's a fast-paced, humourous, and electric journey. He sings old songs and new songs, rock-a-billy and ballads. His vocal range and inflections are outstanding. He sings with his band, an orchestra and two choirs (one male, one female). I love the part during "Suspicious Minds", where Elvis says "shove it up your nose".

He's the King.

According to the web site for the John Denver World Family, this album goes by several names: "Love Again," "The Unplugged Collection," or "A Celebration of Life." Whatever you call it, this recording, coming in his 53rd year, is mature, beautiful, and will spoil you for the recordings from his 20's and early 30's. By 1996 he had lived a lot of life, and it shows in this version of old favorites. A real gift to JD fans worldwide.

This live set is the best of the many released soundboard recording from the Tikki Time Tour. The set list is probably the most interesting and Jimmy and the Coral Reefers sound like they are having a great time in Hawaii. The negative reviewers concentrate on the sound quality, but you have to remember this is recorded from the soundboard. If you want a perfect sounding live disc from Buffett then pick up one of his three other discs, particulary "Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays" which is my favorite. Like that disc, Live in Hawaii is a fun listen, even with the imperfections. I was disappointed that the DVD wasn't longer, but I considered it a bonus anyway. I have been playing songs from this CD a lot lately. I am not particularly eloquent but I want to say, I really like it. Natalie Merchant is singing with a great deal of passion and imagination.

I'm not going to go through the songs in order. Although "Wonder" is a very good song. My husband survived a very rare kidney disease in childhood that he 'should not' have. He got what was supposed to be a harmless rash called henoch-schonlein purpura, after having the chicken pox. One % of the time, that progresses to end-stage renal failure, which he had at 19. he got sick initially at age 5 and spent 4 months in the hospital.

His family was very supportive and he ended up getting a transplant in Buffalo, where his family is from, just before the blizzard of 1977. he ... Read More:

Here I Am

This is the best CD I have purchased in a long time. Ronald Isley's voice and the emotion he puts into his singing, brought me to tears for about the first 10 times I played it. The feelings just build up for the first few songs. By the time it gets to Here I Am and The Windows of the World the tears were rolling, due to the sheer beauty of the music.
