I always thought this and On Every Street was all you need. but no, Dire Straits are great with all good albums til Alchemy and BBC. This is a terrific live recording from the On Every Street
world tour 1991-92 has a great live version of Heavy Fuel, Money
for Nothing, and Calling Elvis. I highly recommend you get this
along with Metallica Black Album, Foreigner 4, Nirvana Nevermind, and GNR Greatest Hits. DIRE STRAITS ROCK..
ps. this one is much better than Alchemy or BBC so get this
live recording today.
Release Date November 09, 1999
this is a great live CD. a good mix of songs. not as much fun as Feeding Frenzy because it's missing a lot of the concert banter but it flows better as a stand alone CD this way. if you are stuck in the snow and want to relive a Buffett show, crank up the blender and get out Feeding Frenzy. if you are in the car and just want to chill, pop in Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. not a bad cut on this CD and just fun to listen to. Especially the covers - been waiting forever for him to record the Southern Cross cover, he's been doing in concert for ages.

I'm not a big fan of rock music, but "The King" is an exception, and this album is his greatest live concert (although it is similar to the Hawaii concert). This album has an electricity that is high voltage. Elvis first appears to the majestic fanfare from Richard Strauss's "Zaracusthra" and closes with a little "Blue Hawaii", followed by his theme music and the guy saying "Elvis has left the building". It's a fast-paced, humourous, and electric journey. He sings old songs and new songs, rock-a-billy and ballads. His vocal range and inflections are outstanding. He sings with his band, an orchestra and two choirs (one male, one female). I love the part during "Suspicious Minds", where Elvis says "shove it up your nose".

Get this CD (and DVD too)! It has the hits and coupled with the energy of a live performance it brings the songs to a higher level. I was lucky enough to see them during this tour and liked it better than their tours during their heyday in the mid-90's. Leave the "band du jour masses" and stick with an honest band with heart still producing excellent music!

Recorded at Carnegie Hall and other concert venues, this certainy brought a lot of memories to a lot of people. Most of the songs are from the first two L&M albums (would be cool to hear their version of the Grateful Dead's Friend of the Devil that made the group make it "smooth"-
how about that for the next Yacht Rock internet episode?
Kenny Loggins sings the first few tracks and then introduces Messina. Of course a lot of material is missing, no "Watching the River Run", "My
Music", "A Love Song" or "Thinking of You". Get this but avoid the 1977
Finale It is a little too overblown and the liner notes are in Japanese (on the imported version, but it is aimed at a
SSW (Singer Songwriter) and adult contemporary audience. ... Read More:

An apt salute to the six studio albums of boogie rock that the J. Geils Band had recorded between 1970-1975, this 1976 live extravaganza showcases the band at their best--performing live! It is also a capable followup to 1972's Full House, which remains one of the best live recordings of any American band in the 20th century!
Released at a time when live albums were big sellers (Frampton Come Alive, Kiss Alive, i.e.), this underated gem gives the band a chance to deliver their best songs with irreverent energy and unstoppable rythym that'll have you dancing within the first two minutes of the opening "Southside Shuffle" till the last chords of "Give it to Me"
Some may find Peter Wolf's banter a bit lengthy and/or annoying in between many ... Read More:

The atmosphere at the Hollywood Bowl was nice and cosy. And so was the music. And so is this 2 cdset. I enjoy at least three times a week!

Release Date October 25, 1990
I was at the series of shows from 1986 where this album was made. I couldn't wait for it to come out. Part of the problem is false advertising. While most of this was recorded at the Greek Theatre in 1986, some of it was from the Mountain View Music Theatre in northern California.
I give it two stars only because it does capture the feel of a Diamond concert just a bit. Still, other than, I am I Said, Cherry Cherry, and Hello Again, the songs are simply butchered. To make it worse, the album is poorly mixed.
If you want later Diamond live material, checi out "Greatest Hits 1966-1992, or Stages. Avoid "Live From America" like the plague.
