Thsi dvd is unbelieveably great! You get a cd as well. I don't buy movies at all. With the exception of music and comedy, if I have seen or heard something once, rarely will I have the desire to watch it again. I have watch this dvd 10 times and will watch it plenty more. The first time, I watched it with my family (wife, 3 daughters 12,10 and 6). We all felt like we were at the concert. We cheered, clapped, danced and sang along. The camera work was great but, even better, was the sound quality of the band and Seal. His voice is pure. He did 2 encores. I even bought one for my 75 year old dad. He loved it. I am now searching for more live concert dvd's to buy.

Steve Forbert and the Rough Squirells are captured live at The Bottom Line and the band offers up 17 nifty tracks for folkers to savor. Forbert's unique vocal stylings are still intact and the band is spry and enthusiastic, and production is very good. Some of my faves are "Strange" and "Goin down to Laurel", and yes, he performs "Romeo's Tune" for anyone who cares to remember his biggest chart hit. Forbert has always been a low key sucess and this seems to suit him and his fans well. Although "Live..." won't set the world ablaze it still asks questions of how a talent such as Forbert can remain so annonymous when others mining the same genre achieve greater commercial sucess. Go figure, and check back at a later date with your response.

Fred is at the top of his pickin' game on this record. The grass is blue on this one, and Fred's turn of phrase and trademark voice make this a great record to play while sitting in the rocking chair on the porch watching your neighors head off to work.

This spectacular 2CD gem captures Laura Nyro's amazing vocals, piano playing and the song list includes many of her social causes. "Lite A Flame" and "Wild Word" wonderfully showcase her strong committment to animal rights and why we must respect nature. She also sings tunes regarding spirituality, the plight of native Indians, love and loss and feminism. Laura Nyro was incredibly talented and she was a vintage writer, composer, vocalist and musician. It must be noted that her best records were live performances such as the 1993 and 1994 Christmas Eve concerts on these discs. God Bless her benevolent soul.

Should be able to obtain a copy of this gem for really low-priced almost anywhere you look.'Music...' was recorded at one of the four-night special engagement they played at Chicago's Metro in 1998 to mark the 25th anniversary release of their first album. That's what I've heard anyway.Tracks off 'Music For Hangovers' are all if not mostly off of the band's first three lp's.An old school Cheap Trick fan's dream police(er,I mean dream)come true.Sound is great, almost as if you were there yourself.Tracks that were more than a delight to relive again include "Surrender","I Can't Take It","Dream Police","The Ballad Of T.V.Violence"(haven't heard this cut in awhile now),"Gonna Raise Hell" among others.Highly recommended.A must-have.

I have had the chance to meet & chat with Michael, while he was in NYC, & he is a terrific singer & an even nicer person. This CD is one of my favorites & I would encourage everyone to buy some of his music. He is one of the most celebrated talents in the UK & his CD's & DVD's are all amazing.

When I was younger at the time when Hanson was super popular, I did not really like them that much, but they've changed my mind the past week. While I was working, I was getting bored of my normal playlist, so I put my iPod on shuffle and Hanson came on. I went and found the CD in its entirety and listened to it. It was amazingly catchy and perfect to work to. This concert is amazing...they have so much talent! I'd recommend Live From Albertane over Middle of Nowhere any day. (Maybe that's because I didn't really like the high, squeaky voices)
Release Date May 18, 1999
While all of the songs on this record are outstanding and fun to hear live, Liz Phair's "Never Said" is a radio classic. Her first real recognition came from this song which helped make her an indie princess. An awesome buy.
Release Date November 16, 1999
