For those of you unfamiliar with Josh Groban this is a great way to start. It is his first cd - self titled - What a voice. He has several other cd's as well as dvd's (awesome by the way) He changed my life - We call ourselves Grobonites a proud name to bear. Whatever you've heard about the music - if you haven't listened you truly need to. You will not be sorry about the investmant you've made. He has a charitable foundation that helps bring medicine and drinking water to villages in Africa. His foundation also works with AIDS patients. I've actually met him and was able to tell him that he helped me thru Cancer his voice kept me going thru some tough times. Please just listen once. (and it doesn't hurt that he's cute too!)

Sarah McLachlan is a delight to listen to. I got this cd after buying her Rarities, B-Sides, and Other Stuff cd. Her voice is very much alive and floating on every song! Not one song is run down or tired sounding because of worn out vocals! Sarah's vocals never seem to tire of singing. She has an excruciatingly gorgeous and luscious voice, full of expression and tenderness. This is a collection of some of her prettiest and best songs, on which her voice has shone quite bright indeed. The fact that this cd is live only makes the songs that much more breathtaking and memorable, not to mention Sarah's melodies that much more likely to become forever entangled in your heart strings. Like everyone else, Bruce has the "best live show ever". And if this and Live 1975/1985 are any indication, he deserves that reputation. Think "sheer, combustible energy". So if the bombastic arrangements of Born to Run weren't to your tastes (though they certainly are to mine!), this album is for you. For instance, "Thunder Road" becomes a bare-bones piano/harmonica ballad, and it works very well. And how about that energy? Well, Clarence Clemons manages to take the place of the entire horn section on "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", which is also given a more prominent guitar part, and "Spirit in the Night" becomes a swinging, nervy dynamo. The CD companion to the DVD of the Madison Square Garden Reunion Tour. My only wish is that they had included Light of Day on the CD. There are plenty of gems for Springsteen fans in this one. Don't take my word---rent the DVD and check it out for yourself. Better yet, take a peek at the set list on this CD. This is my 3rd copy because two others have been scratched up through use.

However, the quality is unmatched. Even the backup singers for James Taylor have an unbelievable degree of talent. Some of the solo performaces will knock your socks off!
