I'm sorry someone else felt Joe sold out or went down hill. This album reveals that early on Joe was and has always been a masterful musician and composer. It also shows how great and a vital part of Joe Jackson
s albums Graham Maby on bass is.
This album because its live may not jump right at one's ears on the first listen, though there are parts that do. However after listening to this album a few times it becomes great. After more listens than I care to admit it has grown on me to the point that it is one of my favorite albums. It is by far the best of his many live albums. It also offers insights and access to his newer albums. I myself think his last album Rain is great.

I beg to differ from some reviewers that the live renditions of some of the tracks on this LP are better than the studio versions. Some are, maybe but not all and this album definitely has its moments but is a bit overrated I think compared with subsequent live concerts the band did. I had the good fortune of seeing them live in 1985 and was sorry that the 1985-86 tour was never brought out on DVD or CD.
Part one of 'Alchemy' is tedious. Too slow in the main, the instrumentals ramble at times and the weakest track on the set 'Love Over Gold' (which was not included on the vinyl version of the album) should have been left off - the original studio version of this track was definitely better; ditto 'Romeo & Juliet' which also drags ... This is a good deal, two albums for the price of one. This includes live versions of classic Beach Boys tunes and good versions of older ones not originally done by the Beach Boys. If you like live music, this is the one to get for the Beach Boys.
Release Date June 28, 1994
Do not buy this. Neil Diamond gives you a box set showing just how bad his greatest material can sound when you scream out lyrics, and fall into Vegas. If you want good later live stuff get 1966-1992.
Sometimes I wonder who advised Neil on some of this stuff. He can be so great like on "Tennessee Moon" and "12 Songs," and then he can be just plain lame.

I brought this package for the DVD only. I really enyoyed the DVD of the LIVE performance in Ireland and also enjoyed the CD's.
Release Date December 06, 1994
While you can get everyone of Adams studio cds for real cheap these days, this album is a real treat. Ive heard and own alot of live albums but this is one of my faviortes. All his most popular songs at the time is on here and I do enjoy the bonus tracks. My favorite songs are One Night Love Affair, Cuts Like a Knife, I Fought the Law, and Someone. Too many good songs to name really.

Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of Sister Hazel until I saw them perform at the House of Blues back in 2001, but I went out and got their entire catalog shortly after that amazing show. They may have been the opening band (Vertical Horizon was the main act), but honestly, their performance was the pinnacle of the night for me.
After hearing about this live album, aptly named "Live live," I quickly picked up a copy and I'm glad I did. While I was slightly disappointed by "Lift" (which I got just prior to Live Live), I was overjoyed at the quality of this excellent live album.
If you love Sister Hazel, you shouldn't be without this album. 'Nuff said.

This is the most comprehensive collection of Moody Blues work I've ever seen. I was priviledged to watch the show live on our local PBS station and this collection has songs they didn't show. It's absolutely wonderful. A must-have for anyone who loves the Moody Blues.

This 2CD trawls through what has survived of the 24 sessions that the Kinks recorded for the BBC between 1964 and 1977, providing an alternative view of the Kinks. Due to the time constraints and lack of overdubbing facilities, the results are probably far closer to their live sound of the times than the sound produced on their albums and singles.
On their early Pye studio recordings, session men such as Bobby Graham (drums), Jimmy Page (rhythm guitar) and Jon Lord (organ) were drafted in by Shel Talmy to flesh out the sound, but here are the band proving more than capable of cutting it live. They are augmented in the early sessions only by the occasional background vocals of Rasa, Ray Davies' girlfriend and later wife, who also sang on the records, and ... Read More:

This is a reissue of Johnny Rivers' first and second albums (At the Whiskey a Go Go and Here We a Go Go Again!). Both albums were recorded live at the Whiskey a Go Go, where Johnny and his sidemen were the "house band" at the time. Johnny Rivers may not have been the most original rocker around, but he played with an infecious enthusiasm that was quite enjoyable. It should be pointed out that all but two of the songs here are cover versions of other people's material. The two original songs here are Johnny's composition "John Lee Hooker" (mistitled "Whiskey a Go Go"), and "Walk Myself on Home" which was written by his bass player and his drummer. Although Johnny's cover versions are almost never as good as the original performers versions, the songs still have a fun, ... Read More:
