The former Terror Squad member Cuban Link and Triple Seis were the best emcees out of that group next to Big Pun(RIP). Cuban Link broke free and got into a rap battle with Fat Joe in which Link won hands down. This album is not as fierce as his battle rhymes but it does have its moments. Standout Tracks: CHAIN REACTION, NO MERCY, RIDERZ(where has Cap1 been all this time?), TONIGHTS THE NIGHT, SHAKEDOWN, TALK ABOUT IT(great matchup with Jadakiss), LIFE GOES ON(great plus Syleena Johnson on the hook was a nice touch) and LETTER TO PUN(120 BARS with some shots thrown at Terror Squad). These song are Cuban Link at his best. Filler: Come Home With Me, Sugar Daddy(bad first single. Makes people second guess the quality of his album), Scandalous, I ... Read More:

This album is pure Quality for anyone who digs Cypress hill. I recomend it to anyone who likes B-reals raps and the beats are sickdiculous on most of the album. Also some of the guests on it are nice to see/like the late Proof from D12 to Everlast and Sick Jacken from psycho realm. Also Crow from Street platoon on the Breathe remix is tight check this one out. It should hold ya over till the next cypress hill drops.

I could somewhat tolerate Fat Joe after this album. I liked J.O.E and Don Cartegena but after Pun's death Fat Joe lost his mind and has been downward spiraling into wackness starting with this album. Before I get to what's bad let me tell you what kept this album from frisbee treatment. My Lifestyle is okay. M.O.P saved Fight Club(also feat Petey Pablo) and Armegeddon left Fat Joe in his dust on Murder Rap. The rest of this album stinks. What's Luv feat Ashanti and Ja Rule is light fluffy pop garbage that is unworthy of the praise it got. We Clubbin feat R Kelly was straight garbage and the remix feat Noreaga, Busta Rhymes and Remy Ma is worser than the original. Fat Joe wasted a great beat by Alchemist with wack rapping on Definition of A Don. Opposites Attract ... Read More:

What can I say? After recently getting hooked on the early morning reruns of The Shield on SPIKE, I just had to track down the soundtrack to this FX show. Why? In addition to getting the ultracool theme song (and it's equally tight remix by the X-Ecutioners), its got 17 tracks that perfectly compliment the kinetic pace of the show. Does it contain all of the music from this series? Of course not. If you don't hear all of a given tune during an average episode, why would you expect it to all be on a single CD? With the 6th season DVDs getting ready to drop at the end of next month and the final season airing around the same time, we can only hope for a follow-up disc. Until then, be thankful for the show exposing you to some music you might have missed. Don't make ... Read More:
