One of the best imports of Columbia, most of the music here comes from her first English language hit, Dirty Laundry. Great video of puppets looking somwhat like Saddam Hussin and George W. Bush. There's also a great extra of Shakira somewhat interviewing herself and footage of her succesful tour. A cd accompanies the dvd but doesn't have all the songs the dvd has. Still, a lot of fun especially if you're a fan.

A very good CD! Celos, Tu Amor Me Hace Bien and Que Precio Tiene El Cielo which is burning on the Radio in Boston is awesome, great musical Salsa arrangements on these songs...very intoxicating!

Lamento Jibaro...is a great sad Puerto Rican story with a nice old style musical arrangement which takes you back to the Island for those whom can relate and undertand the story behind the lyrics to this song.

A great CD for New Marc fans to endulge in his Spanish Music for starters.

This is not the Gypsy kings of yore. If you want the authentic groove of the material that made them who they are, this is not the disc for you. This music is good, and it is part of their natural evolution as artists, but it does not exude the fire and passion of their folky and latin work at the end of the last century.

Ambient Compilations are far too common nowadays. Very easy to collect an album's worth of tracks at any given time thanks to the thriving Ibiza music scene (where Cafe del Mar lives). So what makes a great album different from an OK album. Generally just track selection, but a great album is usually mixed which none of the Cafe del Mar compilations are. Regardless they do put out some decent ambient/chillout albums, and after collecting a few, one can make their own favorite chillout mix.

I first bought this album on vinyl in 1972.Malo's first & best album features some incredible electric guitar by Jorge Santana & Abel Zarate without the superstar overload of Jorge's brother.The Spanish trumpet of Luis Gasca, quite unique for a rock band in their time,& an almost staggering array of Latin percussion makes this album a real musical treat.This is not just a spin off of Santana this is Latin American rock at it's best.I thoroughly recommend it.My favourite track - "Cafe"- it really rocks!! One final consideration,this album coupled with the band's second release titled "Dos" makes a nice pair.
