Earthjustice, which put together the Fish Tree Water Blues CD, is a nonprofit group whose goal is to provide free legal assistance to organizations fighting for environmental causes. The proceeds from this CD will go to Earthjustice to help fund their projects. If you like protecting clean water, preserving rain forests, protecting endangered species or just like good blues music, this might be a disc that interests you. The disc features 14 songs from a diverse field of musicians. For the most part, and with only a couple of notable exceptions, the compilation sticks to the discs earthy theme. I can't improve on the comments of the two previous reviewers, but I can endorse their acclaim for this superb album. The telepathy between Quebec and Burrell is marvellous. This is a thoroughly stimulating work. I would also put in a word for Paul Chambers' Blue Note album "Bass On Top", where Burrell is again exemplary.

Although the title is totally hyperbole, this is an excellent collection of blues tunes of various eras and styles.

I am a relative newcomer to the blues, so a compilation like this is right up my alley. It lets me get a taste of different aspects of the blues, and to discover artists that I would not have otherwise been exposed to.

If you are a Roomful of Blues fan -this is a great ablum for your collection. A good mix of swing and traditional blues. May not be as strong on swing blues as some of thier latest recordings, but still very solid.
