If you like Niyaz first album, Nine Heavens will not disappoint. As one other reviewer mentioned, there isn't as strong emphasis on electronic sound like in the song "The Hunt" but this is not to say someone who likes electronic music will be disappointed. Niyaz blends traditional and modern sounds, I'm always looking for bands that fuse different elements of world music together and Niyaz does it in perfect harmony, not to mention Azam Ali's voice is amazing. very few bands can accomplish this.

Songs in French for Children

The songs are sung by adult singers, not a children's choir, and the voices are beautiful. That's why I can use the CD for beginning learners of French in a college classroom.
The songs are not just sung, one after the other. They are also a little bit acted out, with the interjection of voices and animal sounds that can be funny, instead of embarassing, to young adults. The CD is not just kids singing children's songs. It has more surprises, is more playful, a bit funny, so that kids and adults can enjoy it.
Good selection of songs. Nothing primitive or basic about it.

I'm endlessly fascinated with New Order. No matter how much you know about them and how many of their live shows you've seen there is always something lurking around the corner of New Order's vast cellar of history. The first concert I ever saw was New Order on their Technique tour back in May of 1989, and, quite frankly, it wasn't very good. They just looked annoyed with each other, and even more annoyed with the crowd. They probably were. Having said that, the second disc of this set is worth the price alone as it spans their most creative and inspiring decade (the 80's). Like the previous reviewer, I did not hesitate in buying Baobob's "Made in Dakar" I have all their available releases. This music is never far from my players..car or home. If they dont get you groovin and movin ,you are dead.

My son is a Dan Zanes groupie (he's been to six of his shows).He's been listening to him since before his second birthday and has been looking forward to new music for quite some time. My son is half Cuban, so hearing DZ sing in Spanish is very significant for him. It's a welcomed addition to our Dan Zanes and Friends collection. In short, this cd is like a big party for my three and a half year old, yet sophisticated and cool enough for his parents!!! Viva Dan and Friends!! Our favorite tracks: Colas and Polito Chicken...

Thru the years I have liked some of the songs by George Michaels. When the album came out TwentyFive, I assumed it was his 25th anniversary concert. Instead of buying a CD, I thought I would try the DVD. Boy was I wrong. Instead the DVD was music video's that were beyond a PG-13 rating. Alot of sex; sex between women, between men, between women and men. Sex in bathrooms, bedroom, trucks, cars and everywhere imaginable.Needless to say, it was a waste of money. And after skipping thru the DVD, it landed in the trash...broken in two. Never to be played again.It would be helpful if there had been a warming of content.
