Very good LP.
Each song seems to be a character, along with a great storyline.
Bocelli's vocals are perfection, as usual, and wrapped within the walls of the other instruments, this LP is a perfect thing.
It is NOT necessary to understand the lyrics, the delivery does more than speak to you: It creates a mood that reflects the very love that went into the creation of this LP.
Great job and money well spent.
This LP will effect you on a visceral level, it is pure mood.

I was really looking forward to another Martha Wainwright release. This album disappoints on so many levels. It is not even comparable to her self-titled album that came out a few years ago. Her folksy sound is all but drowned out by electronic drum beats, strings and electric guitars. If her previous album hadn't been so good maybe I would have been a little more fair with the review of her latest one. I've listened to the album several times now and there really isn't a high point to remember. Boring.

This release marks the most dramatic change in the band's history.The departure of Martin Lopez and Peter Lindgren left a vacuum that was filled by Martin Axenrot and Fredrik Akesson. The new band members are both very talented, but very different than their predecessors. Martin Axenrot's style is a more traditional Heavy Metal/Hard Rock variety and Fredrik Akesson style is that of a traditional shredder. This is a great album that will give us two hits.
(Funky Bahia and also the remake of The look of love) Both of them are contagious songs.
I agree that some conservative folks are not going to like blending the old Sergio Mendes sound with Hip Hop , but I think the sounds is modern and great.
We can also find some more conservative Sergio Mendes songs on this album for the fans that are more atttracted to the 60's sound.
The beauty about this album is that can bring different generations to enjoy an album.
The cover of the CD is also great work.
